and Playdiums original Restaurant was great (before they down sized it) its a shame it was too loud in there for anyone other than kids/teens to eat in though
rainforest cafe tasted like shit but looked great
but metrotown of today is still better, shame it killed station squares theatre/arcade though | the old restaurant was awesome, you could play games while eating lol

I haven't been inside the place since ~1999...went to the Bay or Sears (whichever one has an entrance on the outside) a couple years ago. Can't imagine what it looks like now.
Here is a picture when the Skytrain station was built in 86: |

There might be alot of people inside, but are they actually playing games or just window browsing?

Think of how much money it must cost to purchase/maintain the arcade machines and also the overhead with electricity and such. I don't think any arcade is really in the large profits business I mean look how many have shut down. Especially now with console gaming having caught up technology-wise.
I much preferred the old Metrotown. I loved shopping in the "old" non-Metropolis side because there were no crowds lol.

CHQ was the arcade by T&T. I think I remember that old arcade owner from way back in Willowbrook LOL
I used to skip school for DDR way back when. 5th Mix for 50c, that was the shit. Playdium sucked, their DDR EXTREME machine was out of sync, the projecter was terrible (ghosting and washed-out image), and the pads were fucked up, and many of their machines were poorly maintained. The food was overpriced crap as well. The only good thing I miss about Playdium is the jet fighter game they had.
Johnny Zee's was a decent arcade, but wound up going out of business.
I'm glad CHQ's still around |

During that time, the location of the current Pet Habitat was under a different name. i think it was Noah's Pet Ark or something like that.
Off the Wall has been where it is for a while now. Same thing with Le Chateau and Below the Belt on the Metrotown side.
