$2,500 Tata Nano could cost $8,000 if they bring it to the U.S. |
bet you 2k or from each 8k is goin into someones pocket. what BS, why would i pay 8k for that pos. I'd rather pay another 1700 for an accent. the only reason this car gained so much attention is because it's cheap. 8K for it? no thanks. On a side note what is the purpose of the 5mph bumper test. if your goin at 5mph, if you hit someone at that speed its goin to do the same damage regardless how long your bumper is, if you go faster, its goin to get fuked anyway. If you hit an object or wall, thats your fault and pay the damages. I'd rather drive a nice looking car than one with an long ass nose and ass so i can save a few bucks if i hit something at 5mph. Damn americans just want to make stupid irrelevant changes unique to the stupid country so it makes them 'seem' smarter and more powerful in the world market. Like the standard measuring system = the fuk. |
Who cares if it's going to cost $8,000, no one is going to buy that plain piece of shit. |
so how much would that cost in Canada? |
wow that totally ruins their edge.. to the point that its meaningless |
I had an inkling it would have to do with emissions. I had this intuition because of what happened earlier this month in Quebec. According to the last Saturday's Globe and Mail, the provincial government had set its emissions standards for new cars to meet previously what had been the benchmark(eg California). However, the US administration dropped these requirements very recently. Two factors now can and have emerged from this. First, manufacturers(passed along to customers) would be required to pay a fine of up to several dollars for models that don't meet the standards. Second is that manufacturers would likely have to deliver special "spec" vehicles to Quebec. The dealers in the article were quite upset and understandably so. The ministry was unavailable to comment. Posted via RS Mobile |

it's true. lots of cars are glued together and very very much stronger than weld. also doesnt warp like welding does. |
not when it is made in India. |
|
lol...srsly...i'd rather spend that 1.7k more and get a hyundai accident. Least that has more than 3 knobs. And not glued together by sleep/food deprived indians. |
LoL, 12" diameter tires... not rims, tires... |
http://evworld.com/press/tata_nano_europa02.jpg this is the version they will bring to Europe...it comes with all the standard safety equipment. If it comes with Cd player, bigger engine, and power everything. $8000 should be reasonable |
It will never sell. North Americans are way too fat to fit :D |
