| What is wrong with the internet today?
Anyone else notice that a whole bunch of websites are down today?
Is some major server down?

ok.. I think its a dns issue.. I am trying to repair my internet connection and it keeps on failing at the dns step.

ok thats weird.. for some reason spybot had added an entry into my hosts file for hotfile and a bunch of other websites I visit..
Uninstalled spybot.. reset my hosts file and now its fine

Powercycle your modem or router. | unless I'm mistaken you missed a step. Type cmd into the run window, then type ipconfig /flushdns. Not sure if you can do that straight from the run window and can't check as I'm currently on my Mac.

Yeah, the command prompt pops up and disappears as soon as the command is done.

if you dont want the screen to disappear right after do
cmd /k ipconfig /flushdns
