Gnomes 01-25-2010 07:42 AM

I was just at e-canteen last night (around 7-9pm). That totally sucks, I can see this sort of shit can happen to anyone (if i was at ecanteen an hour later).

That's overly cautious of you. Lots of hockey players like to hit up bars and restaurants for drinks and grub immediately after games.

OP: 10bucks if you go to the back where the hobo's are you'll see your spirit jersey.

As for the other gear, some hobo will just chuck it, they only really want the bag, and anything they can wear.

If they took your equipment to sell, they'll be taking your sticks as well.

My money's on hobos.

Qmx323 01-25-2010 11:04 AM

yeah i work in that area

stinkin hobos pay in fucking pennies and nickels and smell like piss n shit all day

some even steal

donot521 01-25-2010 11:10 AM

There are a group of hobos who hangout behind E-canteen. It was probably them.

Caution to everyone else who goes there. It's a magnet for scum. Bottle depot in the front, liquor store behind E-canteen. Go figure.

id rather not be a victim haha. my sticks always ride shotgun since they dont fit in the trunk, so people would probably suspect a hockey bag in the trunk. so id rather have the inconvenience once in a while rather than money out of my pocket for deductible and new gear

Yah i walked around the place, and around several properties to try and see if anyone had it in an alley or something. Theres a LOT of dumpsters around there, behind all the restaurants and shops, so i wont even be able to check them for gear. But do i really wanna wear most of my stuff after its been in the dumpster?

RS Beat down crew?

SumAznGuy 01-25-2010 03:10 PM

Doubt ICBC will cover the lost hockey gear, and it might not be worth claiming it on house insurance unless you want your deductable to go up.

Might have to suck it up and buy new gear.

tiger_handheld 01-25-2010 03:39 PM

asahai69 01-25-2010 06:04 PM

unless the bum stole a computer its not gonna be on craigslist. probably end up selling it to places that sell used gear

1exotic 01-25-2010 06:53 PM

This is what's frustrating with getting robbed, you just don't know who it was. If you saw who it was and then track them down, damn that would be awesome. You can burn their house down, etc.

reaver64 01-25-2010 07:34 PM

Lol justin, make sure you don't tell the insurance company your doors weren't locked

SolidPenguin 01-25-2010 08:05 PM

Who are you?

Shut up. Car was locked, as far as i know....

Amuse 01-25-2010 10:13 PM

This is why you should check a few times that your doors are all locked and alarmed up.
Was your bag in view from the outside?

As i said i was distracted as i was talking to several people while getting out of the car, while grabbing cellphone and other personal items out of the car, and just pressed the button on my remote.

The bag was in the trunk.

I checked the trunk after i opened the door and noticed my glove box was opened and stuff was all over the seats and floor.

yellowpower 01-25-2010 10:44 PM

Dont even mention the fact that you forgot to lock the doors while talking to friends and stuff, the insurance company will suspect something and they wont compensate for as much stuff.

RiceIntegraRS 01-25-2010 10:51 PM

^yeah, dont say u forgot or anything like that.

i eat there alot, i never noticed any bums ever being there. Someone told me like a year ago that crime in richmond is gonna go up cause of the skytrain, i guess by wat everyone else is saying its true....

SolidPenguin 01-25-2010 11:30 PM

I didnt "forget" per se, but the remote on it is a bit glitchy and is held together by tape as well. My fault for not double checking, i already admitted that.

Now delete your posts incase insurance company checks revscene! =P

Leopold Stotch 01-25-2010 11:41 PM

dude that's some expensive gear.

hope it works out for you.

91LS-VTak 01-26-2010 01:37 AM

Is it really "breaking in" if the doors aren't locked? It's more like trespassing...

AzNightmare 01-26-2010 02:33 AM

I think you guys are too quick to jump to the conclusion it was bums or hobos.

Who were you distracted by when you were leaving your car?
Friends? Random people?

7seven 01-26-2010 07:56 AM

If its only about $1,500 to $2,000 worth of gear, it might not be worth it to file a claim with your home insurance given the deductible and the rate it'll affect your premium, some policies also only give "current value", so the value of your gear used.
