Tire Ranking for Korean Chinese US or other minor brand

Just a question to some of you guys who've done research on tires. I'm wondering how does all these minority brand (Kumho, Hankook, Federal, General, Fuzion, Lexani, Sumo, Linglong, etc) stack up with the benchmark brands like - Michelin, Bridgestone, and Pirelli ?

***In terms of tire technology***
If given both tires are in the same category ( like - All season, High performance summer, Maximum Summer, Winter), does these Minority brand holds up as good as the Michelin, Bridgestone, Pirelli?

Or do you think that, say the newest Kumho tires, are as good as a 1995 Bridgestone RE-92, or the newest Kumho would be on par with the 2007 Michelin Pilot Sports?
**this is just an exmaple for comparison, I didn't dig deep into looking for tire years**

any input is greatly appreciated

I would separate the Korean tires (Kumho and Hankook), plus General and Fuzion, from the remainder.

General is a Continental brand. Fuzion is Firestone/Bridgestone's ricer brand. I consider Kumho and Hankook major tire manufacturers. The rest? I don't think I would touch them. At all. Except maybe Federal, which I believe is a Taiwanese tire.

If you care about performance, don't cheap out on tires. I get some serious lulz from some that I see here that put on $3000 wheels and Lexani/craptastic tires... But to each their own.

the Ling Longs’ dry autocross performance was so far behind the other tires’ that we had to round its score up to zero to keep it from being negative.

some tires have pretty weak sizewall, personally i dont like it. thats said, thr is tons of feedback on big tires sites. i ended up buying General exclaim uhp from the states... $500 tax in.

if u r buying winter tire. remember most winter tires are not made 100% of the special winter rubber. think its about 40%-50% of the tiree which is special winter rubber rest is regular all season rubber. michelin x ice is %100 winter rubber. Again bought these from US ended up costing $500 tax in.

edit ,dont go so much on name brand as some big companiese make some shitty tires and cheap companiese make good rubber. just read feedback on rubber ur plannin to buy

I went about on some Diamondback last summer and whenever the ground gets a bit moist I'd become drift king.

NO.

Car and Driver had a tire comparison that someone has posted above which i found very helpful.

I work in the car industry and have heard positive reviews about Kumho and General. I will try the Kumhos myself this summer.

You get what you pay for; but, there is no sense paying for something if you aren't going to use it to it's full capacity.

I got a pair of the Hankook Ventus V12s, it used to be hard to catch traction even in second gear if I give her, but now theres no problems hooking up. Wet traction is fairly solid as well.

Fact,
I have 2 of these on my rear wheels right now, I would advise against them. Only reason I have them is because they came with the rims. When its really wet out or raining they would always hydroplane unbelievably when they were in the front. Do NOT feel safe with them.
