I remember a thread 2-3 years ago where Timpo was so happy that Toyota has overtaken GM as the largest auto manufacturer and I told him that Toyota was riding a reputation they built in the 80's and 90's and that nobody gets to the top without cutting corners. Oh my...

was that wozniak in the video? wtf...

i thought the issue with that runaway lexus was a floor mat thing...? iuno, theres so much shit going on lately.
seriously tho, toyota has been cutting things here and there, all in the name of saving money. but when it come to r&d and SAFETY (which btw they say "Safety #1 Customer #1") i don't think money should be a fucking issue.

It's no LF-A, but there was a thread about the brake pedal snapping off on someones mitsu EVO while they were on the streets

The LFA better have its own carbon fiber brake design or else the 400k isn't worth it.

All you morons who think that an e-brake can actually stop a car on WOT have never heard of brake fade before. Once your brake pads hit a certain temperature, there is no longer much coefficient of friction and they will not stop your car. If you accelerate to 100 km/h and slow to 10 km/h using full braking 10 times in a row, it is likely that your brakes will start to fade.

Your right on this one. For me this used to be an indicator
that it is in fact time to hunker down and go home.

At first thought this should be some good evidence
on Toyota's side if a massive court case results.
A car's brakes should be able to slow down to a stop
even with full throttle I would think. (I'm too scared
to do it on my buddies car he lent me) Can someone verify this?

I would think if the judge or jury is truly a nationalistic
or protectionist, this could be absolutely wonderful for the
domestic side of things. You got to remember that GM(government motors)
and Fiat/Chrysler still need all the help they can get.

Besides the fact that these morons neglect the fact that your frt brakes do about 80% of the braking, and the e-brake which is connected to the rear brakes have no way of stopping a car at hwy speed on WOT.
