SPOTTED: Austria Ski Team's Audi A6

Saw this car driving from Richmond to Vancouver on the Knight St Bridge.

Its a Audi A6 2.7 TDI wagon, which I don't think we have here.

It said "AUSTRIA SKI TEAM" and "SPONSORED BY AUDI" on the side of the car.

The driver looked like your typical german dude with glasses talking on the phone. (obviously doesnt know about our new ban on phones while driving)

i also see many 2010 audi A6's with yellow plates all around downtown..

dunno where they are from tho...

apparently it is legal for them to drive here as long as they are insured for "out of country use"

There must be other cool cars floating around Downtown.

you can legally drive an european plated car as long as its insured for "out of country use" from, say, germany?

i would love to have those plates permanently, they belong on european cars, not some white or olympic themed rectangle

i saw a black Maybach 57S on west georgia this morning. plates didnt look like BC's.

plus i had never seen a maybach on road prior to this.

According to a friend that worked at Mercedes, there are a few Maybachs registered in Vancouver. I haven't actually seen one in person either though.

AND remove the car when your visa expires. You cannot have it plated here permanently.

i saw a couple Aston martins with Nevada and cali plates on the weekend

There are some porsche turbo's with Dubai plates rolling around, saw two few days ago.

also RS6 with some euro plates, and couple astons with cali and nevada plates as well.

RS6? The one with V10?

If it's the C6 RS6... it'll have the V10 Gallardo engine + 2 snails :eek:

saw some more audi's today with german plates

i saw a black veyron on georgia on tuesday. didnt see it till it was too late to take a pic or anything

epic. wonder if it had bc plates.

im pretty sure they were alberta plates

Russians have A6s, Passats, Q7, Q5 and a few black escalades, and a few black 300Cs
I drove Malkin around today, and my bro, Ovechkin in one of those.

I seen the Russian A6's around with the Russian vinyl stickers all over it.
