CL it if you're looking for full-time. I've tried to apply, but I don't think my experience is up to snuff with any dealerships that were hiring. I managed to get a P/T job working in a warehouse in Aldergrove. $12.76/hr to fill orders for the Overwaitea family of stores (i.e Save-On, Pricesmart). Living in Surrey means a 30-minute commute, but for summer work, the cost is really offset by the work being a bit simple. |
How old do you usually have to be to work at car dealerships/valet attendant? |

Age-wise you'll just need to attain one of those licenses, whichever they request you have. Places like RiverRock Valet or something may require you to be at least 19, due to the environment you work around, but don't quote me on that though. In the past the ads I've looked at all require at least a Class 5 plus the ability to drive stick and automatic both well, and with a clean driving record. |
if you dont mind the outdoors and labour work gotjunk is hiring in vancouver. starting $10hr and voted one of the best company to work for. |
I used to be a manager at Planet Lazer and racked up $12/hour. And I juggled that around my schedule in High School. Right now I work at a Seafood Bar and Grill as a Cook, and the hourly wage + tips that I can rack up are pretty good. If you're looking to make $10+ I'd suggest dropping your resume off at Boston Pizza, Cactus Club, Browns and places like that as a Cold Side, because that's a perfect entry cooking job for kids/people with no cooking experience, and the cooking at those kind of places aren't even considered cooking. It's like putting random stuff onto a plate, and microwaving it. But it looks great on the resume. Even if they won't allow you to start off as Cold Side, try working as Dishwasher, and apply for Cold Side a month or two in if you've performed well, and they would usually allow you to work your way up. With "cooking" experience under your belt and on your resume you can now work your way up to more reputable restaurants and get the bigger bucks. Hope this helps. |
