Windows 7 Series Mobile - Microsoft getting it's groove back? Wow, I'm actually excited for Microsoft's new phone! I don't think Revscene supports Silverlight yet, but here's a link: http://gizmodo.com/5472166/an-epic-2...indows-phone-7 This is a 22 min walkthrough of the phone. Very minimalistic and completely different from previous OS. Too bad I'm hearing it's not backwards compatible. |
all ive got to say is, holy, fucking, crap. wow... i seriously hated winmo with a passion, but i dont anymore. |
Much like Windows 7, it looks like they may come out and convert the unwashed masses on this one as well. After seeing that interview, I think I've found the next phone that will truly fit my needs. Have to wait and see how the rest of it works, but it looks like it will really be a great happy middle between iPhone and Blackberry. |
People said "Give Windows Mobile a chance" several years ago. Yet, they still suck. No thanks. They will never catch up to the likes of any proprietary operating system for mobile phones. Microsoft can suck it. |

looks like i'll get one for sure if it have a native MSN app.... |
Is anyone else not getting any sound from the video? |
22 min and they didnt talk about the most important feature.....phone |

no multi task or custom OS'? No care. Loved winmo for the customization (sp) but I'll probably convert to something diff now. android i guess |
I might give them a chance, I didn't hate the 6.5. so this might be something good for them |

Windows Phone 7 looks great, but for power users it will be better to stay with 6.5.2 and wait for someone to replicate 7's UI. It will be done almost immediately I'm sure. You can already install any number of UI's on 6.5 including those from Android and iPhone. |

Not the actual OS, but the interface. |

I don't want hundreds of thousands of crappy applications. I'm happy with what BB developers have put out. All I want is to be able to install all the apps that I deem necessary (viigo, poynt, google maps, msm, gmail messenger, bb app world, bolt, food network, pod trapper, unsynced) and not have to choose which one to take off the list if I see another app that I want to install. Perhaps someone else knows the answer to this: Does android or Windows Mobile handle app memory the same way blackberry does? |
^ For what you're doing, you need a laptop. Not a cell phone. You're demanding far too much out of a phone. Sorry. |

Rogers is selling a netbook with the built-in HSPA card. It's not a phone but again, you're demanding just way too much out of a phone. |
