Homemade weight gainer

oh man I just threw a bunch of stuff into a blender and it turned out great!

I'm not sure exactly how much of each I put in so sorta mess around with it.

This is all made with teh magic bullet..

3 ice cubes
fill the container up about half ways with egg whites
maybe 50 ml of heavy cream (whipping cream)
about 3 or 4 teaspoons of crunchy peanut butter
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
cinnamon (if I remember it was just enough to sorta cover the top)

blend.. I found pulsing it works best to break up the ice

no idea on how many calories or protein/fat is in that but it tastes good..
If I had to guess its most likely around 1000 calories..

toss in some oatmeal and fruit next time
dry oatmeal will mix in pretty well and frozen fruit is better than ice

I only have carbs if I lift... no lifting means that I only eat stuff like cauliflower, almonds, broccoli and so on

yea quick oats are fine... some might have a preference as to what type (ie steel cut) but I'd probably worry about that once you actually make oats a staple of your diet

I tried mixing oats in my protein shakes, and i could only do that for so long. Sometimes if i'm not lazy i'll blend together strawberry whey with skim milk and a banana after a workout

Yeah the texture gets all... Nutty. And the colour of double chocolate doesn't help either lol.

Anyone else put a tbspo of peanut butter? I'm wondering if just regular jif pb is as good as the pb that's deemed organic

i just eat it on the side instead of blending it in

i would go w/ the organic; take a look at the ingredient decks of organic vs jif/kraft etc. PB

go to costco and buy the KS PB... good price and big jar
