Drinking and Driving

I've always wondered...

Is it illegal to drink while driving if for instance, drinking all the beer in your possession would still not result in the driver being over the legal limit?

You cannot have an open alcoholic beverage in the vehicle at any time.

Even if it's sealed, safest to keep it in the trunk.

I don't drink and drive as well. :)

the legal limit is one thing. whether or not you're in proper care and control of the vehicle is another.

isnt there a loophole where.. lets say u get into an accident and have been drinking. you just so happen to have a mickey of vodka in your trunk.

you're seen by witnessess going to your drunk, getting the vodka and downing it. you're seen drinking after the accident and they cant prove you drank prior to operating the vehicle.

pretty sure i saw this on tv, i wonder if its true.. sounds like a big loophole

The cop that killed Dziekanski and that kid on the bike did that, but I think he was still charged with something.

Teh Doucher 02-17-2010 04:37 AM

he wasnt charged with anything, hes a member of the rcmp which is the largest legal gang in canada, hes got a get out of jail free card.

johny 02-17-2010 04:56 AM

it's very dangerous because you might spill it on yourself, then caues an accident trying to clean it up.

fishing666 02-17-2010 06:10 AM

ive drank and drive but only if I was at a restaurant and had a beer with my meal or a glass of wine with my meal. I have never drove intoxicated.
