start with the vtec changeover position just lower it far enough that your vtec is always on if you shift reasonably close to redline....any higher you lose time any lower you lose fuel efficiency. basically floor the car in 4th from lowest rev possible and hit it all the way to redline, record the rpm vs afr with a camera or something, watch the video and lean/rich the mixture until you get your desired 11.5 or something (look it up). make fine adjustment until you are happy with it, that's your "hi" map which is over a certain % throttle (you can adjust where the "hi" map starts) then accelerate using daily driving pace and check how much throttle % would you usually use, adjust the"lo" map from idle to the highest rpm you'd use and try to adjust the fuel map for best fuel efficiency which is 14.7 AFR then you stretch the gap between the hi and lo map throttle % until you think the grey area between the high/lo map gives you smooth transition and a good compromise between performance and fuel efficiency, and you are set... then set map 2 for aircare or hyper-miling rofl. |
My truck, usually under $50 fillup, gets 450kms |
05 RSX S 91 octane 450-500km 50L tank, about 75% city driving about $50-55 to fill up |
