i was not stingy when i used it. i almost soaked my wheels.
i probably used almost half the can on 4 wheels.

the can is pretty small. more narrow than a hairspray can, and costs $12.99.

I bought this stuff too from canadian tire. I tried it 2 nights ago but I didn't spray on a whole lot of this stuff like in the video above. I drove it in the pouring rain last night and this morning when I went to look at my rims they were relatively clean except a few particles of dirt. It might be too early to judge though.

I hate it when my headlights get so dirty when trailing behind cars on rainy days.
just use any good sealant on your headlights. works like a charm.

I want to buy this product and try it but I’m nervous that using this product overtime will fuck up my wheels.

hmm I though it was just a coat over the wheels that somewhat prevents dirt but also allows dirt to be easily washed out of the wheels. Unless i am assuming wrong.

I think a lot depends on the type of finish your wheels have... in that video you can tell they were brand new super glossy wheels, fresh clearcoat and all...

Unit your wheels look like the clearcoat faded quite a lot so I'm assuming that's why it didn't work as well (not dissing your wheels by the way, just saying that's probably why)

speaking of this I gotta go create another thread I'm trying to have someone clear bra the lips of my new set of wheels

someone here needs to do a comparison between the left and right front wheels. apply to one side. don't apply to the other. drive for a week. and compare.

Also, just hose down the wheel and see if it becomes clean again.

I just picked up a can from Crappy Tire. It comes with a instant $3 rebate on the $13 price.

I will try it out and let you know how it goes. My brembos spit out quite a bit of brake dust weekly, so hopefully this product will minimize the amount of cleaning that is required.

Quoted from another forum:

C'mon guys, you should all be better than believing merlin. It's nothing more than an oil based substance. You can achieve the same exact effect by spraying your wheels with baby oil, and leaving it for an hour to dry.

While I agree, it's a "good product" all they did was stick oil in a bottle.

Looks pretty impressive from the videos. I don't know if it'll have the same effect on matte wheels though.

update. does not work that well on my polished lips and anoidized face. just looks like a greasy mess, but it comes off on my finger rather than the scrubbing i usually do. spraying with a spray gun made things worse.

however, my dad's oem silver painted wheels are still fine. waiting to see what it will turn into in the upcoming rainfall though.

so it does vary depending on the surface of the rims

well, here is the bitter truth for me... a few days of good weather and then rain:

yes what you see below is staining:

it comes off with a lot of scrubbing. looks like i have my work cut out for me this weekend

so right now i give it an F- ... i haven't seen the results on my dad's car yet. maybe monday.
