also it wouldnt take 5 minutes with a small excavator to get to a coffin, wrap a chain around the coffin, lift it up, put body in, coffin down and backfill could be done in under 15 miunutes with somone who knew what they were doing

15 minutes is a lot when you consider the time you drive a digger into a cemetery and drive it back out. Those things don't drive very fast so I'm guessing you have a 18 wheeler waiting outside.
No doesn't sound tight at all.

if I had to i'd cut the body up, stuff it in a garbage can, load the rest of the can with ready mix concrete, put garbage can on a boat, go out into the ocean, toss can over, voilą Posted via RS Mobile | Will it still smell through the concrete? Posted via RS Mobile |

I think cremation would be the safest option? but, who has a giant furnace to cremate someone?

Anonymous sure is cautious...Not everyone has access to a boat, chemicals or tools like a big chainsaw which will essentially make a whole lot of noise when you use it. If someone borrowed/rented my boat hauling an unusual container encrusted with concrete, it may stick in my memory and no one would want that chance happening. You want to be quiet and discrete to the human senses and to memory.
Does NaOH give off any odors during reactions? >_>

There are tons of ways to get rid of a body. Chop it up and chuck out a piece the size of a ham each week. Ppl throw food out all the time. You'd have to chop up the hands and feet though, as they're easily identifiable as human remains.
The hardest part is the skull to be honest. That one you'd have to smash into little pieces to make sure it's not recognizable.
Another way to do it is either bury it somewhere extremely remote in the wilderness (ie far far away from GVRD), or torch the body until it's charcoal, then just pulverize and scatter into the ocean or a forest.
Man, can't believe u guys got me thinking about this at 3am. |

^ That doesn't work. As the body decomposes, the limbs will separate. Then the parts not attached to the cement or whatnot float to the surface and wash ashore.
I have no idea how I know this.

Why would you need to get rid of a body? In Vancouver, you can kill someone in broad day light, and NO ONE (especially the cops) could find you.

I think cremation would be the safest option? but, who has a giant furnace to cremate someone? | i don't think Dex's method is flaw. Disposing a body is always the hardest part to a perfect murder and when you are a serial killer with 100 kills under your belt there is not many different unique safe dump site that you can use to store all those body, Dex was using the predug cemetery method before and finally settle on the ocean . Having access to large amount of chemical to speed up decomposition process would seen fishy for a blood analyst and is hard to store and not be notice by his family members not to mention would trigger a shitload of question if one of his cop buddy finds out.
if his case i think the ocean is perfect, it is easily accessible by his boat, while the ocean doesn't actively speed up decomposition all the little creatures in the ocean helps to strip any evidence that might have been left on the body.
and as Dex have prove it is ok for the body to be found, the most important thing is to not leave any evidence to be trace back to the perpetrator.

I think what's more important is not getting rid of the body. That's tough. It's more easier to not leave any evidence behind. A bit harder, but easier than disposing a body.
