Sketch Job... Vector Marketing... help please =(

I remember theyre used to be a VECTOR marketing near my house on Kg & 68th in surrey.
it has now shut down. I've had a few friends who have worked for them selling Steak Knives and cutlery, they both quit within a few weeks.

I don't see what the problem is. I mean, if I simply applied and just quit after the first hour and kept the knives, they'd be at a loss. So in that sense the 150 deposit makes perfect sense.
