13.7@102 for the V6?!?!!!!! Holy crap! That IS impressive

Mancini 03-30-2010 01:32 PM

Looks like a winner. More correctly, it appears to drive like a winner.

The V6 is 23k, which is a steal.

Z3guy 03-30-2010 02:13 PM

V6 or V8 you can't go wrong.....man the base V6 stang will blow the doors off most high performance imports...the Mustang is back better than ever! hard to beat a 6sp manual 5L........this mustang brings back memories when the 88 Mustang GT was launched with an amazing 225hp/300lbs of torque!

CivicS 03-30-2010 03:20 PM

EPIC WIN!

Rich Sandor 03-30-2010 03:22 PM

Just be careful if you're buying one, as the 'value leader' V6 has a 2.73 rear end, whereas the pony package V6 has a 3.31. You won't be pulling those kind of times with the 2.73, but you will be getting amazing highway fuel economy.

Mustangs ftw

!LittleDragon 03-30-2010 05:29 PM

Ford's been making nice cars for a while. If they built a Fusion Hybrid with the Ecoboost V6 and AWD, I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

Fusion GT... what ever happened to that?

I think I read in one of the reviews that the pony package for the v6 won't be available in Canada. Hope they change that.

hchang 03-30-2010 06:01 PM

Impressive, very impressive!

too_slow 03-30-2010 06:08 PM

^I went on ford.ca to build one, and you can defo add the 'pony pkg' to a base V6...

The Fusion Sport is the top of the line; AWD with a 265hp 3.5L V6 and select shift (tiptronic)

man....even the 2011's v6's are going to be stomping all older 4.6's to the ground soon :(

wish i had money for 5.0

keifun 03-30-2010 08:57 PM

the new fusions and taurus were both great cars to drive..

a big improvement on Ford's part.

flagella 03-30-2010 09:21 PM

It's quite amazing how V6 is performing. With such good number, V6 seems like a great buy, but then I'm sure I'll regret once I hear the V8 grumble.

too_slow 03-30-2010 10:49 PM

I can't wait to rent one of these for a road trip in the states.. :D

XtC-604 03-30-2010 10:59 PM

great...in a straight line. But pales in comparison to a 370z, with NEW streetcar technology such as syncro revmatch. And with a 5L V8 i was expecting faster 0-60 times and faster trap times.

EmOne 03-30-2010 11:04 PM

FINALLY! no ugly plastic engine cover.
Engine bay looks sick.

This engine cover reminded me of the GTR's..

I like the 370Z, but your reasons above are ridiculous......... you think lacking a computerized throttle blip for downshifts makes a car "pale in comparison" come on :p

You're getting a car in the Mustang that seats 4 (not 2) and costs wayyyyyy less... the only reasons to buy a 370Z are if you are a diehard fan or you just really, really like the car and have to have it knowing there are better options for less money.
