It's time to get over brand perception. Genesis and Genesis Coupe were great cars. Hyundai really making a name for themselves. Their biggest hurdle is their name and what people perceive of it.

Looks very very nice...... at least it looks better than anything both Honda and Toyota is offering recently............

unit 04-07-2010 09:01 AM

i think it looks pretty decent.
doesnt look like a japanese clone

Mancini 04-07-2010 09:41 AM

If it doesn't come with a manual transmission I would never buy one.

jpark 04-07-2010 10:09 AM

the 2.4 and the 2.0t both come with a 6speed standard i believe

too_slow 04-07-2010 12:02 PM

^No, it's been confirmed that the North American market only gets the 6spd manual with the base GLS. Interesting enough, the new Tuscon can be equipped with a 6spd manual on the base model as well...

If they keep this up, in 5 or so yrs Hyundai will be up there with Toyota and Honda. Not in terms of sales, but in brand recognition

love the rear, but the front needs something... can't say exactly what though... something is just not right about the front

IMO a license plate makes the car look a bit better.

it's the grille! other than that, everything is good. i'm digging the overall shape; kinda like a cls or passat cc.

TRD Rs200 08-05-2010 02:54 AM

not bad....

thumper 08-05-2010 05:57 AM

do you guys think that ^ looks better with the blacked out grille and no huge H badge up front?

jpark: any specs on that car? coilovers? air ride? wheel/tire specs? fender mods?

JV6 08-05-2010 05:57 AM

so sick!

Z3guy 08-05-2010 08:27 AM

sure the new turbo 2L provides great hp/tq #s Vs V6 competitors, however for a DD, a turbo 4 will never be as easy to drive in the city like a 6 cylinder. I have a 240hp RDX and I used to have a 270hp TL.....on paper the #s look similar, but my TL was way more enjoyable to drive as a DD. Trying to change lanes when someone is making a left turn is way more nerve racking in my RDX due to turbo lag....nothing is nicer than having some good torque off idle.....

1990TSI 08-07-2010 12:34 AM

hyundai is using such a small turbo, if you're in the right gear theres no lag.

the coupe 2.0 builds full boost and torque at something like 2300rpm

rJZx 08-07-2010 01:37 AM

I've never been a hyundai fan.... but im considering this to my next car list.

obselete 08-07-2010 02:32 AM

looks are subjective. but is the interior hideous and made with the usual cheap plastic

nack 08-07-2010 03:10 AM

numbers are impressive, looks on the other hand...

front = anteater
back = SEX

Tegra_Devil 08-07-2010 09:02 AM

i wonder what this would run like with a 94 octane tune?

damn i tried finding this on their webpage....they have 2011 sonatas but none listed with the I4-T GDI engine
