I haven't really driven a lot of automatics to know what a good auto is supposed to feel like. All I know is that it kicks down when I need it to. |

it all sounds very impressive, and i have yet to have seen one upclose, get inside, and perhaps drive one. Personally, from past experience. I am far from a hyundai fan. The negatives i noticed were: -cheap quality -not enough insulation (lots of road noise) -not enough rust protection (local 2001-2002 hyundais rusting already in vancouver?) i've never seen a problem with their drivetrain though. It seems like hyundai is stepping their game, and if they turned a new leaf. That's great for them, i always like to see that. I just hope they fixed the issues that i was once dissapointed with. |
Holy crap thats a good deal. 0 down 0% 84 months. I think the 84 months is pretty long tho |
^ Funny, my name is Bao and both my cars are turbo... lol |
Have you experienced any of the steering problems with the Sonata that is all over the internet? It seems to pull left at highway speeds according to reports. There was even a recall issued in the states back in September. I'm looking to maybe get in a Sonata as well. |
I've read about this as well but haven't experienced it. I have a feeling people are just complaining about torque steer. Common on a FWD car with this much power. My solution to that is.... hand on wheel when accelerating. |
Thanks for the quick response. That's what I initially thought too, but a lot of claims have indicated they know what torque steering is and that it happens while coasting as well. Hopefully the newer vehicles have that fixed as that 0% for 84 months is a pretty good deal. |
this car looks amazing. numbers are very impressive DO WANT |
i want that engine in a genesis coupe. i would buy that in a heartbeat. i want a gen coupe:whistle: |

but road noise is not realy heard in my car.. well at least before i molested with aftermarket parts and the reason why my father bought it in the first place (used to be his car) because interior cabin was fairly quiet for a cheap budget 4 cylinder midsize sedan. |
is this promotion only for the 2.0 manual? so it doesn't apply to the 2.0 auto? |

i wasn't being clear haha i meant to ask, is the 2.0T Auto eligible for the promotion? because it only says 6sp manual sorry for the mix up. im looking to test drive the sonata too =) |
I have some spare car cost canada reports. If someone is really interested in the Sonata or Genesis Coupe, I can run a report for you. |
Here's my feedback from my test drive yesterday. Car: 2.4L GLS Sonata. - car drove as expected, soft suspension, fairly quiet while coasting but pretty loud when accelerating, steering is very light (must be due to the electronic power steering). Having test driven other cars like the TL and TSX, I found the suspension to be too soft, but compared to the Camry and Accord, it felt similar. It did not have the pulling to the left side that is plastered all over the internet, but I'd still be careful and make sure you test drive the specific car you are picking up. The sales person indicated that if I wanted a tighter feel, I should try the 2.0T as it has a different suspension set up. - I found the interior to be cheap. For example, the interior door handle felt like it was going to break off, the glove compartment also uses a cheap plastic. However, the dash seems pretty modern and it does come with bells and whistles like bluetooth, usb for ipod, aux-in, heated seats, etc. - The GLS with the cloth seats seemed really cheap (like some sort of recycled material), the leather in the limited trim seemed better but the quality also seemed cheap. Bottom line, I didn't feel it to be luxurious on the inside, my MR2 feels more luxurious. Overall conclusion, good bang for the buck. It comes with a lot of options included where the competitors would have them as options. However, they have to cut costs somewhere. It's good value as long as you manage your expectations and don't expect it to be as luxurious as other brands. In terms of the 0% offer, the sales person said the promotion will likely end at the end of the month (but of course, take that with a grain of salt since they are biased). Good luck! |
Why am i not surprised at all, it is a Hyundaiiii |
