At first iPad was all about LAWLs because it was so stupid

You do realize that >90% of iPhone, iPad and iPod sales are to NON MAC/APPLE USERS? Sure the Apple fanatics are the ones lining up to get one on the first day, but the bottom line is most iAnything users are PC users.

Getting a little tired of reading stupid comments like this that only Apple fanboys buy Apple products. Or are you going to say the typical Mac user/Apple fanboy buys at least 20 iPods and 10 iPhones each just to support Apple?

However it's quite amusing to see Apple succeed over and over with "obviously inferior technology". I know this just pisses off the Apple haters to no end, and that makes me want to see Apple do even better (even though I'm a hardcore PC guy).

Anyway, I don't know why I replied to this. Nobody but apple fanatics are going to be into the iPad. Yes, that's enough for them, but unlike apple fans, I don't give a fuck about sales figures. I buy the things that are right for me, not what some geek in a turtle neck tells me to.

I think he was trying to say that a majority of iPod/iPhone/iPad sales are to people who use PCs as their laptop/desktop. True Apple fanboys also own/use MacBooks, iMacs, etc.

apple products are inferior but they play at a different level... like branding for clothing and stuff... I mean why $600 for a LV wallet vs a $5 walmart wallet... they both hold my cards the same way...!!! WTF

The problem with his argument is, those people (who aren't already a part of The Church of Steve) have little to no interest in the iPad anyway. So he kind of proved my point for me (thanks!).

Casual users with Apple products (like myself, I have a Nano and a Shuffle) will have no interest in it.

Casual users who use Apple computers and have an iPhone probably won't either.

It's the mentalcases who have convinced themselves that it is not a useless gimmick that are buying these things. And as we all know, there is no shortage of mentalcases in this world ;)

And of course, the people who want a really good ebook reader...

I dunno - I guess it looks cool, but it's useless to me as well. It's almost like the designers created this just for the sake of creating something.

I can see these guys using an iPad : insurance claim adjusters (think ICBC with with the toughbooks), property inspectors, food/health & safety inspectors... provided that the iPad is fairly durable, and cheaper than a Panasonic toughbook.. Most of these guys use a tabletPC of sorts, and does very little typing...
