Nike's New Tiger Woods ad In a confusing world where men cheat on their wives, employees who partake in poor business practices remain employed, and everyday feels like tragedy is striking more and more people, we get slapped in the face with Nike's new ad featuring Tiger Woods and the voice of his father. Has anyone else viewed this, scratched their head, and said "What the fuck?" |
wtf was that |
New low for Nike. First, using child labor to make money. Now using dead people to make money. |
que |
yeah, they're trying to show their continued support for tiger isn't completely without recognition of what he did.... so they decided to show their "disappointment" by using the voice of a dead guy to wag their finger.... what the fuck |

The ad is getting a bit of hits on twitter too so people definitely are talking about it (maybe purpose behind this). Whats awesome is that the agency that did that ad also did the ever-popular Old Spice ads. http://www.wk.com/campaign/old_spice_man_man |
Genius. Doesn't really matter if the commercial had baton twirling or pink unicorns thrown in as well. They got your emotions going (good or bad) and you got topped off with the Nike logo in your face |

that's what commercialism is all about anchoring a specific set of emotions/reactions to their brand logo did the job pretty well |
so dumb |
the first time i saw this ad i was like WTFFFF. |
nike products suck. for the same price, there are way better products out there. |
If people are talking, the ad is working. |
That ad is pure WTF. If i wasn't told that was his fathers voice, i wouldn't have known. |
brilliant commercial |
^ Agreed |
|
how the hell did they get his dead fathers voice |
i was anticipating the "just do it" slogan at the end...it would be fitting |
