That, or if the guys in the Jeep don't see you, then you were too slow getting out of the garage and they'll probably be gone already.
Probably better to sit in a friend's car on the side of the road close to the house and stake out from there... better yet, maybe on the street perpendicular to it, so it's even less obvious... and after they pass by, discreetly just pull out to start following it.

TRUST me if it's repeated like that it isn't random, your friend more than likely is a jackass

^not just his house, his neighbors have been getting it too, but his particullarly alot because its the first corner house, right beside a high school. but he called the rcmp already, we dont really know if we physically should attack/threaten the shit outta them or just report it back to police since its already been reported and this time we could get proof if we did. really up to my friend since its his house and his car and his propety, not really up to me but w.e floats his boat i guess

get a couple of friends, stake out IN the car, have paintball guns ready if ya want also. follow them and call the cops, or you can do the alternative and follow them till they get out of the car, tie em up and piss on them like it was mentioned in the previous replies

Funny but realistically how many of you would actually do what you say you'd do? Just get some evidence like you're planning to do. Shit-kicking them or trashing their house will most likely cause your friend more trouble then its worth in the long run.

my parents house is getting egged as well..i think its just some immature punks and getting the eggs outta the side is tough...there are things that i would love to do to them...one mainly is just to do the exact same thing to their/their parents house / retirement house

You said you don't want that much violence, I'd throw a brick through those peoples window, but I guess you can and shoot them with paint ball guns, OR hide in a bush across the street... as the car pulls up quickly run up and throw a tire spike under the back tires...

LOL, this reminds me of the one time a bunch of teens, decided to cut through my parents corner lot lawn and fuck shit up as they passed....one day at 230am a russel and bussel as one of the kids fell into the hedges...i caught the motherfucker, put a .40cal to his head; got his ID and told him and his buddys to never fuck with our block again...needless to say they never cameback.

Jesus, the ideas so far! 
You have to think realistically. Is it a smart idea to shoot frozen paintballs? No. God knows what you might end up hitting in the heat of the moment. Hopefully the Jeep, but if there are a lot of other parked cars around... might not be a good idea.
Beatin' on them is a great idea should you catch them, but with the way our justice system works, you and your friends will could get charged or something. You never know these days.
Best thing to do is to have a couple guys sit in a car just down the street, out of sight. You and whoever stay inside and wait until the house gets egged. Call your buddies, and just have them follow the dicks without tailgating or any of that shit. Don't want any high speed bullshit. Call the cops, complete with File#, and let them know the details, where you're going, etc etc.
This egging shit is annoying as fuck. Worst part is, even if the cops DO catch the guys. What will they get? a slap on the wrist??
