something similar happened to me in my old car~ NEVER get out... black eye is already a lucky outcome!! The worst that can happen if you stay inside is a damaged car.
If you choose to fight, you've already lost. Either you'll get hurt like that guy, or you'll kick that guy's ass and you'll go to jail.
Brains over brawn... stay inside, grab plates, call police, and most likely the aggressor will get arrested.

Same similar shit happened to me tonight. 7:00pm No.4 and Alderbridge. Fucking Rmd. Following this white guy in a bike and then we had to merge into Alderbridge on the right, I downshifted to slow down. Then fucker slams on his bike and stops and I almost reared him.
He gets off his bike and starts bitching saying I was tail-gating him, WTFF? I clearly had 1 and a 1/2 car space at least and by slamming and stopping his bike out of no where, I almost hit him.
Starts swearing and bitching like a fucking dog making false claims, then he punches the hood of my car and swears some more and drives off. Now there's a fist dent on the hood of my car for no fucking reason.
Not even sure if it's worth reporting this to ICBC. Doesn't seem to be worth the claim, just gotta suck this shit up and move on.

I've had this happen to me on HWY 1, some prick VW Golf Driver was mergining on to the highway and wasn't speeding up to traffic so i had to speed up and go around him. He saw me pass him and floored it to catch up to me, then he started to inch right into me from the left lane and pretty much had me on the side of the hwy then slammed his brakes. got out of his car and started running towards my car, I was ready to jump out and kick his ass (I'm 260 6' 4" and he looked like 180 5' 10"). But I managed to reverse and merge quickly onto the hwy while almost smoking his door that he left open..
i was heading down no.2 road at 7pm when a blue truck comes barrelling out of the no.2 road/blundell rd mall (mcd's exit). guy in blue truck rips it to catch up to an asian guy driving a silver civic sedan (looked like 2004 LX).
maybe the asian guy bought the last apple pie and white dude didnt want to wait 20 min for a fresh one
maybe he was calling back up? and not the cops i mean he just got his ass beat

how old was the truck driver? late 50's? 30's?
report it regardless...knowing it's richmond many asians turn a blind eye at accidents even though the victim repoted it in.
truck driver was probably late 30's to early 40's. asian guy was in his 20's.
it's funny that you mention that, because the mainlander couple standing in front of their house at that moment stood there and did nothing. people were making hand gestures to them to phone the police.
had to go back to work after, but i'm considering calling the RCMP when i get home. asian guy was on the phone immediately so i'm sure there's a file open already.
there were also tons of witnesses. even the occupants of the house that this happened in front of saw what happened.
That's weak man, imagine it was you that needed help. You can't assume that other people will do anything, especially if they're asian. I witnessed a hit and run in a chinese mall in Richmond, tons of ppl (asian) everywhere. Not 1 person did anything, I did the right thing, recorded all info and put it on the windshield of the damaged car. Funny thing, a month later, someone hit and run my 2nd car and luckily a witness put down the info on the windshield and ICBC was able to track the guy, who admitted fault. Karma baby!
i memorized the guy's license plate and made notes of the entire incident. that's not exactly doing nothing.
also, this clearly indicates that a witness stayed behind.

So does buddy call the police if he gets the better of the other guy? He gets out and fights with the guy, loses then calls the cops? Why not stay in the vehicle and call the cops from inside there if you want to be a nancy? Just sayin.
