Part of me would like more confrontations like this. The reason is, everybody's a tough guy behind their steering wheel, being a jerk with their horn, flipping people off, staring people down, etc. Those drivers need to be taught a lesson.
If more physical confrontations like this would happen, then the jerks I mentioned would think twice about being such an idiot.
I remember reading in The Province a few years ago. Driver A got cut-off by another driver, so Driver A pulled up next to him and stared him down while passing. The other driver who had cut him off had a gun, rolled passed and shot up the car. Pretty horrifying for Driver A, i'm sure, but I couldn't help but feel it was sort of justified. (Edit: i'm not sure if it was because he was cut-off or if he was driving slow).
I think a lot of drivers need to realize there are people like that out there, and that you can't hide behind your steering wheel and your horn thinking you're in God mode. Your actions have reprecussions, think before you act.
lol. the other day, I was making a left at a left turn green light and this caucasian guy on new ford f150 gases it and almost misses me but his light was red... as he passes he yells, learn to drive you fucking chink.
at this point i didnt know what to do, obviously he does not know that red light means dont go and fucking racist at the same time.
I saw the cop cars 4 of them acutally plus 1 was a supervisor as i was driving down no.2.
You should acutally call Richmond RCMP and report what you know. People that gets road rage needs to be thrown in jail. As for Op. "do the right fing, be a man."

not trying to be a moral police n' all, but if you think a driver who gives a dirty look at someone driving slow/cutting people off deserves to be fired at is justified then i think that's a bit messed up.
People that are not following traffic rules, common sense and common courtesy deserves to be glared/honked at.
If you're gonna step out of the car and agree to fight, don't call the police after you get your ass beat you bitch ass piece of shit! Nothing will happen anyway.

Of course, when you quote it out of context, it may sound like that. Read the rest of my post. I'm saying that drivers, no matter what situation they're in, should be conscious of their actions. Now I don't condone the violence, I just want other drivers to know that there are people out there who DO condone violence, and therefore, should be careful of who to give dirty looks to/cut-off/horn/etc - no matter who may be right or wrong.
The victim in the situation I mentioned (Driver A) didn't HAVE to give the guy a dirty look after he was cut-off/caught behind the slow driver. But he decided to. Now, it's hard to play Monday morning quarterback on a story that I'm trying to recite from years ago, in an article that we don't even know was written entirely factual. We can only assume, with common sense, that 1 driver decided to escalate the situation, the other reacted, and it happened to be with gunshots.
Drivers feel like all safe and cozy behind their steering wheels, glares, and horns, and show little discretion on using whatever they have to dispense at others, yet they feel slighted when someone else one-ups them. Why not just relax, brush it off, and continue on with life?
If you're absolutely compelled to show your displeasure behind the wheel, I surely hope you're 100% capable of actually following up instead of crumbling when you step out of the car. If it were me, if I had to step out of the car, I would treat it as life or death and give it my all. If i didn't feel I could, I wouldn't be a wuss in the first place by glaring at somebody behind the "safe" confines of my car.

I have one of these bad boys in the same door slot.
^ This will bring ambalamps on all the haters on the road who tries to start shit with me.

No.
I hate drivers that think they are above all other drivers. Been there, done that, totally regret being an ass when I was in my youth.
After driving for 12 years, I can vouch that it's almost impossible to drive completely error-free in the entirety of your lifetime. However, most of the time in Vancouver, people have the courtesy to just make an apologetic gesture, the other party acknowledges, and that's that, traffic moves on.
I hate people that like to stare down and overly honk their horn more than neccessary and do a flyby.

nothing wrong with expressing your concerns and displeasure.. it is not simply a 'im a better driver' complex either.
that's what the horn are made for..if you don't use it in the appriopiate cases some of these drivers are more likely and frequently to make these mistakes again.
i never said i was a perfect driver, of course i get honked at sometimes and i apologize with a wave.
For those who say they keep a pipe or wrench in their car for these incidents, you better hope it's only for self-defense and that witnesses can clearly tell you were using to defend yourself, or else you'd get charged with assault.
I know about a guy who had a fit of road rage. Stopped his car, grabbed a pipe or something and approached the car he raged with. The guy in the other car steps out, proceeds to kick the rager's ass and hold him until the cops showed up. He is/was being charged with assault.

Which guy is being charged?
I hate the impatient retards who wait behind you and honk on a left turn, especially when your view is blocked by a huge truck. Sorry but I wait till my view is clear. Posted via RS Mobile

Not sure why more people don't utilize the wave. It can defuse a situation very quickly and calm people down.
