very neat project
but with the welding at the fenders i'd question its safety

TOS'd 04-19-2010 11:23 PM

indeed an interesting project.

godwin 04-19-2010 11:23 PM

Wow the roll cage looks rather spindly. Go for thin stock for roll bar because of good deal? yikes

And why the original tires are mounted backwards?

hyek 04-19-2010 11:28 PM

have no idea.
probably he's lazy and didn't want to remount them lol

Jackygor 04-19-2010 11:30 PM

cool project, satin black is a nice colour!

maxxxboost 04-19-2010 11:34 PM

That's pretty cool!
I like the colour too.

Cool budget project if you know what you're doing.

Gh0stRider 04-19-2010 11:39 PM

sleeper

Eros250 04-19-2010 11:45 PM

would that thing be legal on the roads? How is insurance going to insure that.

Culture_Vulture 04-19-2010 11:50 PM

well he wanted something different, cheap, and a hell of a lot of work. this is it.

SolidPenguin 04-20-2010 12:05 AM

If it was ICBC im sure someone could register it as a kit car or a u-build and get a BC vin. After inspection though of course.

But for this guy i dont think he will....since he painted the windows black...

orange7 04-20-2010 12:33 AM

not rice enough.

ate.ge 04-20-2010 12:38 AM

Welding the fenders is no problem. The real issue is where he mated the rockers, rear arches and rear panel. Seems pretty sketchy.

It wouldn't fail from that unless it was forward of the driver's shoulders. Think about cargo/cube vans (no windows) - totally legal.

!Aznboi128 04-20-2010 12:40 AM

didn't gain much out of it....

it'll be just the same as a regular wrx

TRD Rs200 04-20-2010 12:42 AM

FN-2199 04-20-2010 12:49 AM

Very interesting! Props to the guy for attempting something like this!

!Aznboi128 04-20-2010 12:57 AM

This would of been better use of the wrx

hamhead 04-20-2010 01:18 AM

AVS_Racing 04-20-2010 01:30 AM

FerrariEnzo 04-20-2010 05:50 AM

jpark 04-20-2010 08:59 AM

not really liking that subaru hood scoop on that civic :\

SkunkWorks 04-20-2010 11:45 AM

AWD launches in a Civic... Definite sleeper.

Phil@rise 04-20-2010 12:14 PM

Wow thats quite the undertaking!
I give him big props for doing that at home my only question is the integrity of the chassis and his cage wouldn't be much for support and it should be.
