Splinter Cell: Conviction (PC/XB-360) Any thoughts?
The game has been out for a while now. Any R.S. user reviews/thoughts about the game? I'm thinking of renting it out. Or even buying it if there's a really good deal on it. Thanks! Cheers.
Pretty good game IMO. Played through the single player in about 5 days. If you played the other Splinter Cell games, you should definitely play this one. Although the storyline can get a bit confusing, it still fun to play nonetheless.
There are a lot of things to do and there are different ways of playing the game. After the single player, there are a few other multiplayer modes you can play which extends the playtime. Definitely worth retail if you ask me.
I am playing it, its pretty good, the AI could be better, i am playing through the coop first and then ill go into the single player after. I hear the single player is good though.
i'm expecting this game to drop fast in value like all previous splinter cell or ubisoft titles
just curious, would someone appreciate this game if they never played splinter cell? storyline isn't connected is it? How is it compared to MGS series?

Storylines in Splinter Cell games are generally connected, but not to the absolute point where you won't understand anything that's going on without prior experience playing them.
Apparently, flashbacks are shown in Splinter Cell: Conviction as if they were projected on the wall in real-time gameplay. So it either fills you in on what happened in the past, or simply reminding you (if you have played the previous titles).
Compared to Metal Gear, it's similar because it's mostly a third-person stealth game with some third-person-shooter elements. Splinter Cell is more (in my opinion) dramatic with a deeper story and more simple (in a good way) as compared to the Metal Gear games. Both are good series-es though and if you enjoyed MGS, chances are you will very much enjoy Splinter Cell too. Plus Splinter Cell: Conviction has a two-player co-op mode with its own separate mini-campaign.

Alright game, imo. If compared to the previous Splinter Cell games, it's definitely a huge shift in terms of the style of gameplay. It seems more arcadey than before, and a little "half-assed" on Ubisoft's part.
Worth the play if you're keeping track of the series, though!

In other words..
I would love to insult you but you wouldn't understand.
its hilarious, the enemies will just shout out "Im not that stupid to stick my head in there Fisher, come out and face us" when you hide away from them
but otherwise, its an awesome game, if compared to evolution of the series
its definitely worth the almost 3 year delay of production that they put into it...
im playing it on normal and its really easy, suggest go with the hardest difficulty..
