This is like one of those refer 10 friends and get a free $10 gift card. Your friend isn't here to help you earn money, he's here to get you into the system and help him get money through referals. Although the recruiter will probably claim you as his own, which will help him with his bonus. This type of business is a FFA, you fight for customers in order to make a profit. You consistantly need around 5 RETURNING customers every month inorder to make ANY money. That's 5 dumbasses buying over priced water and other over priced items.
Ex. Perfect water is like $54 for a 24 case. $2.25/bottle. For water..

Do you have a black hoody? and black shades? just wear that... Stand on the sidewalk almost anywhere along the homeless part on East Hastings. Have a sign saying "looking for digital voice recorder"... usually takes 5-10 minutes before someone approaches you... If no one comes to you, asks a few people around and you'll be buying one anywhere between $2-20 for sure.

I have a dumbass friend that always falls for this shit and always tries to get my friends and I to join him. If you've ever seen the episode of The Office where Michael tries to get people to join his pyramid scheme and tries to convince people it isn't...and then Jim draws lines between the dots to reveal...a pyramid...that shit literally happened with my friends and I a few years back

Joining shit like Perfect Water, World Financial Group, etc.. can only do more harm than good. Slim chance you might make a couple extra dollars but you are going to look like a complete idiot and joke to all your friends, family members or anyone with common sense.
Anyone who joins crap like this shows me that they are gullible, desperate, retarded and has either no skillset or are too lazy to obtain a real career/job. I review a lot of resumes at work and any resume I see with crap like this on it, I crumple up and toss.
I remember when I was going to college, this guy I went to high school with kept bugging me and my friends about joining (can't remember which group it was). A recruiter came to Kwantlen to meet specifically with us, and actually said "I had to get a babysitter for today just to meet with you, so hopefully you are serious about this". Yah nice try, a guilt trip. Fuck you.
The guy ended up dropping out of university to further pursue his pyramid schemes. What an idiot.
A friend of mine got involved with Primerica. Asks me to go to a meeting. I have a pretty open mind, and can smell bullshit, so combined, I can sit there and pull out some nugget of information that may make me think about something new, and not get sucked in by dollar signs.
A lot of the offices are run by morons that just push the shit on you...this guy was different. Quite personable, and actually gave an interesting talk. This is what it is, this is what we do...if you want in, come back on Saturday etc.
But my main issue has and always will be pimping shit to friends and family. I don't want to talk about RRSP's with my friends. So frustrating. Yeah, there are people that are making money with it. Has to for it to exist...but for those people to make money, they need to burn through a crap load of contacts....your contacts.
Yep, bump. I know the people have gotten back already from this trip. Now we just wait for hchang to chim in. And he can't give any BS couple days later saying he just got back.
