Switched over to chrome recently. Decision of the month. |

One thing I noticed about Opera though, is that it uses quite a bit more memory than Firefox. So you might wanna consider that before you switch to it. |
Don't know if it matters but I ran benchmarks on Futuremark via the web and Chrome came out faster than Opera. On my system maybe by 1000 points. Anyways, other than the random Chrome window not re-opening after minimizing, going back to Firefox or Opera is tough. You just can't beat searching through google via the Omni bar. (I think that's what it's called aka the address bar.) |
^You can actually do that in Opera too. And plus they still have the search bar that let's you pick your own search engine located beside the address bar like in Firefox. |
Cool feature in Chrome: When using Gmail, try shift-clicking on an email |

Getting to see your history is more difficult (yeah, being lazy). I really liked how you can just click on the address bar to see your most frequent 12 pages. I know there's an extension, but it's not as good as the one in ff. Can't sort bookmarks by name. Whenever you move a bookmark from one position to the next, the folder closes. When you use hotmail, whenever you click on the back button, it brings you not to the previous hotmail page, but the last different page like revscene. I bet there's more I can think of. My 2 cents. |
Deleting history is a pain. -Options - Privacy - Clear browsing data Getting to see your history is more difficult (yeah, being lazy). -Ctrl + H I really liked how you can just click on the address bar to see your most frequent 12 pages. I know there's an extension, but it's not as good as the one in ff. -Either use the extension, or open a use the New Tab page which works the same but also shows screenshots of the pages. There are also extensions for this as well. Can't sort bookmarks by name. -No instead, you can sort it however you want and it STAYS THAT WAY forever, synced across ALL browsers wherever you use Chrome Whenever you move a bookmark from one position to the next, the folder closes. -What? When you use hotmail, whenever you click on the back button, it brings you not to the previous hotmail page, but the last different page like revscene. -What? I bet there's more I can think of. My 2 cents. -I want a refund |

2. I like a button beside the address bar like ff. 3. I said there is an extension but I don't like it. 4. So? Sorting by name is a pretty basic thing. 5. Whether you're moving bookmarks in the "other bookmarks" folder or folders on the bookmark toolbar, once you've moved it, the folder automatically closes. 6. You're at yahoo.com You open hotmail and you're at the inbox. You click your sent folder. When you click the back button, you're back at yahoo.com. In ff, you would be back in the inbox. Yeah, come to Vancouver and I'll give you 2 cents for your troubles. |

For all those Chrome users who complain about Adblock: https://chrome.google.com/extensions...dilifddb?hl=en ^Above link is for AdThwart. It uses the Adblock filter engine, and it actually stops loading the ads before the page is loaded; unlike adblock which just removes the ads after loading (ultimately saving bandwidth if you're concerned about that..) Just make sure you add revscene to the whitelist so you dont filter their ads ;) Have fun! **edit: It even removes the annoying ads in youtube videos! |
Awesome!!! It works amazingly well, thanks! |

Adblock has been updated to finally prevent downloads of ads, not just hide them. However, that function is in beta. Yeah, I still get popups. When I used Firefox, popups never showed up for certain sites whereas IE and Chrome would pop up. |
