A lot of people here are posting as if they could do the job 1,000 times better, when they actually have no idea. Then again, it's REVscene, what can you expect!

Very stupid survey. Obviously most have thought about it, it's a tough job.

don't forget though that this survey was for both sworn AND civilian staff. so though one can understand easier the results of this survey with sworn members, it is a bit surprising that the results apply to the civilian members as well...

Among the B.C. employees who considered quitting, the most common reason given was frustration with the work environment, a lack of recognition for their work and unrealistic work expectations.
But six in 10 said the chief source of their torment was their direct supervisors, other superiors or co-workers.
| I think everyone is missing the point. Not only they are getting shit on by the public, they are getting shit on by their co-workers or their direct superiors and not being recognize by their efforts.
Imagine you had a bad day at work and when you go home, your wife bitches at you on top of your shitty day. You would probably hate your job even more.

ALL OF THEM.

Its the same as suicide in high school. In a survey it said that a good number of students have actually thought about suicide but you don't see it happening (also we don't see it because suicides aren't reported).

Alright how about this http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/bre...-83074632.html
"The RCMP have been called in to review a case in which a surveillance video shows Winnipeg police beating and Tasering a suspect who appeared to be in the process of surrendering to officers"
or this http://www.rcmpwatch.com/rcmp-launch...ce-allegation/
"Quesnel RCMP have launched an internal probe after an allegation of excessive force during an arrest surfaced."
I'm obviously not saying ALL RCMP are corrupt or what have you, but those incidents above combined with Ian Bush, Dziekanski and the subsequent DUI, plus countless other scandals have eroded public support for the RCMP and exposed it as an organization desperately in need of some change, due to poor internal management, flawed internal investigation techniques and lax hiring standards/practices.
