Yeah I posted about my experience with trying to buy it out right in the other thread, just purchase it on the telus site and you can get it for the $450 or at least that is what the person at the telus store said. I'm going to try bestbuy either today or tmr morning.

Best buy was sold out so I went over to futureshop. Costed $503.99 however since it's not on contract it's final sale. I basically walked in and paid for it.

Futureshop by metro (kingsway) They said the first 5 units were reserved for contracts only, which is why they told me final sale for mine. The only bad thing atm is no damn cheap unlocks, i've heard of people getting their phones unlock through ebay but the price went form $30-$50- and now it's at $70.

the one sold in HK will not work on the 3G network here.
Only the one sold by Telus or the one sold in Australia will work on the 3G network

I just got an email back from cellunlock. They said they'll have my code by monday at the latest since the phone isn't in their data bases.

^seriously, shiiiiit, I just bought the code like an hour ago...I can't wait that long haha... O well, I guess I'll just run wifi and set up all my account today, this phone blows my mind. I can't remember the last time I was this excited to own a phone.

Well skinnypupp said he's using a generic front screen protector and it works fine, with no decrease in the screen's touch abilities. I"m thinking of just getting the one you posted up as it's cheaper then a momax, martin fields, and the invisible shield. Are you planning to cover the back? I link the rubbery feel to it but don't want to accidentally scratch it or anything.

How long does it take for your phone to charge all the way up. Mine has been charging for over 2 hours already, and it's around 50% full?

^I'm typing from it now. I think I got home and charged it for about 3 hours to get a basically full battery, bit I still gotta do the mandatory full new phone charge. The plastic on the desire feels so soft I don't want it to be exposed, but my main concern with the 3m skin was that it would effect the touch screen. If skinnnypup said it doesn't then that's dope.
