i dunno if i can call driving manual "fun".
just something i prefer because it offers more control

^ depends on the gearbox, maybe. The Miata gearbox is just fun, like a video game. Short, precise throw, snicks into gear cleanly.

Good for you

A modern day sportbike has more technology in it that your car

Clutch + Stick = shifting.

Other stuff = sitting in a box while a computer drives for you.

:)

some tiptronic also take the longest time to shift. you'll hit the rev limiter before it shifts.

Yet all the technology still wont allow you to corner faster under real world conditions with dirt and uneven surfaces than the average car

real world condition + average car = driving in city = not very fast at all

throw in straight line and corners into the equation, 2 wheels is faster...

in my opinion, automatic was considered a luxury back in the day. most people back in the day had to drive standard

skylinergtr 05-27-2010 01:49 AM

hit lots of uphill traffic today in my car. was really not feeling like driving manual.

JSALES 05-27-2010 04:05 AM

i know if i lived in california, i would not want a manual car. traffic there is just too crazy
