What exactly is a "Rogers iPhone"? Afaik with the iPhone 4 all iPhones are unlocked and come without carrier sim cards inside the box. During the activation process the phone is locked to the carrier network of the inserted sim card. Posted via RS Mobile | |

Was just trying to clarify that the ones that come directly from Rogers are unlocked already (and will be locked to Rogers or Fido once you activate it with a Rogers or Fido sim), where as if they already come locked to a certain carrier.
I'm trying to clarify before i pull the trigger on one
Apple store is telling me that they all come locked in the box and you can't 'activate' them with a different SIM.

Just wondering if anyone knows, when you get a warranty replacement in store, is it factory unlocked? or still locked on the same provider. I'm asking cause i just got a replacement and they did not specify what provider it was on.

Anyone know when the iOS 5 is set to 'release'?
Also, noob question, if I am using jailbroken 4.2.1 do I just update my iOS and I will be back to normal? When I do this, I lose everything I have right? Including contacts?

Including contacts? | iOS releases during the fall i believe, if you update to the current 4.3.3 everything will be erased, but before you update it should automatically backup whatever you have i.e text messages/emails/contacts and it will ask you at the end of the update if you would like to load up your back up or just start fresh. If your scared of losing contacts you should create a google email and use google sync

have to play 100 online battles (Win or lose doesn't matter) or beat the game in arcade mode with every character without continuing.

Brought it to the apple store and they told me its perfectly normal. All the store demo iphones indeed have the same problem. They told me its just the autofocus mechanism....

I was just wondering, do any of you guys know if Apple would replace my phone if i switch to a different provider? I switched to bell a couple of weeks ago without having to pay my cancellation fee, and now I have 2 iphone 4s; a black one w rogers, and a white one for bell. The rogers one is still under my one year warranty so yeah..

In a bit of a dilemma.
So i bought a iPhone dirt cheap off craigslist ($300).It came with nothing but just the phone itself. I'm not sure if it's stolen or not because when he sold it to me it was restored. I dropped the phone alot and noe the lock button is stiff and doesn't really work. Doesn't click but somewhat works if you press it hard. I took my previous iPhone to the genius bar before and they checked the serial number before giving me a new one to ensure it has warranty. If I remember correctly, all iPhones have 1 year warranty's and has the iPhone been out for a year yet? But getting back to my
