Can't remember the site I read it on last night but I'll try and find it.
Pretty much:
New physics system
you dont just hit the players, you can miss and just catch a bit of their leg so its not just straight hits.
sticks aren't always on the ice
broken sticks
new faceoff mechanics
you can jump over players
shoot the puck while you're down on the ice
i actually prefer EA's over 2k, 2k is only good for basketball. Their hockey feels clunky, as well as the turbo button doesnt really add on much speed.....

Agreed. EA is ment for Hockey and what not. 2k is ment for more basketball.
I've bought every single year going back to the original, NHL Hockey in 1991. Actually when that game came out I begged my mom for a Genesis just so I could play it.
I'll buy this one without fail.
MONEY!!! and the graphics were awesome for the time.
The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place... and I donīt care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently, if you let it. You, me or nobody, is gonna hit as hard as life. But ain't about how hard you hit... It's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward... how much you can take, and keep moving forward. Thatīs how winning is done. Now, if you know what you worth, go out and get what you worth. - Rocky Balboa
Now, if they can make online more entertaining by improving the defensive and goaltending AI, then that would really be something. As it stands now, all people ever try to do is cross-creasers and one-timers ... Not that I have a problem with winning (rocking a 0.7 GAA in online versus), but it gets so tedious spending half the game 5 feet from your net to take away the easy stuff and no one ever seems to think "maybe I should try passing the puck around to spread out the defense and open up some scoring opportunities." ... Nope, just try to force the puck through the crease or through the slot ... *yawn*
My AFC gave me an ABS CEL code of LOL while at WOT!

hope they address the scoring issues in nhl 11. 09 and 10 pretty much force u to do wrap arounds or cross ice one timers in order to score. the odd time ull get a slapshot or a deke through the net.

There's always scoring glitches in EA's NHL games. I don't think that'll be any different in the next version.
