There is one retail chain that does allow coupon stacking in Canada, and that is London Drugs.
Of course, this means you're never going to be able to get groceries for free here, since they don't sell that, but you can get other household items like shampoo, razors, toothpaste, cleaners, laundry detergent, etc. for free or almost free.
Trust me, I know the coupon game... did it as a hobby for awhile last year... it was actually a lot of fun.
Cost: $682.06
Taxes: $77.56
Subtotal: $759.62
Coupons Used: $742.20
Total: $17.42
Price Adjustment Refund: $22.29
Grand Total: -$4.87
Yeah, I actually ended up getting paid five bucks to take $700 worth of merchandise. |

Most coupons say "Limit one coupon per purchase", but London Drugs interprets that as only one of the SAME coupon per purchase, and each "purchase" means one item.
For example, if you want to buy an item that's $5, you can't use five of the same $1 coupons to get the item for free, but you CAN use a $1 coupon from a magazine, a $1 coupon from the newspaper, a $1 coupon from online, a 50¢ coupon from save.ca, and a $1.50 coupon from the store to get the item for free. Going by the book, they can reduce the value of the item down to zero with coupons, but you should still be on the hook for the taxes based on the original cost.
One tip is that you can actually first do a price match at London Drugs before using the coupons.

I was too lazy to shop for grocery and then cook it.
Plus it was during all my midterms, so I just went home cooked myself 2 instant noodles and called it a night.

You can probably do cheaper, yet for being 3 blocks away from my house, that was a pretty good deal.
I basically only buy meat when it is onsale and plan my meals around that. I usually hate buying in bulk like this cause it might get freezer burn if I forget to have it, yet it was too good a deal to pass and its BBQ season!
