LottoMax jackpot! what will you do?

who here, if they won the jackpot, would invest or starting something..

or just live off it until you die..

for me, i think i would set 25% for personal use only.. the rest i would starting a business or some sort.. i would like to have something going for my kids after im gone..

btw, is the lotto taxed after you a big sum of money?

Another Question, Would your Attitude change after you get the millions? or the way your family/friends look at you? will this money be a positive or negitive effect?

i'd,

1.buy a big ass house in west van for my family.
2. buy my family member sick cars, m5 for my mom, m5 for my sis. CLS63 for my pops and RR drophead for myself.
3. give family money, about 30%
4. Open hotels in vegas or a tourist populated place.
5. Go into my office at the hotel, sip on 1000000000000000 year old whisky, smoke a cuban and get a bj from a playboy bunny, while watching the numbers on my bank account go up and up and up.

tonyvu 06-28-2010 12:19 AM

I would put 50% into savings, 25% into stocks, and the last 25% for personal use.

1) big house
2)Lots of cars
3)bring family from vietnam over

I don't think there is any tax when you win the lottery in canada.

threezero 06-28-2010 12:21 AM

1. decent house
2. gtr for myself and benz G500 for my pop, s55 for my mom w/ chauffeur
3. 10% to charity
4. provide for my IMMEDIATE family
5. INVEST INVEST INVEST INVEST INVEST

fishing666 06-28-2010 12:47 AM

i'd buy new shoes
and the iphone 4
then i'll buy a warehouse of shoes
I'd buy 5million cad worth of China Yuan
get my car washed by a washing center
go to starbucks for coffee
apply for the centurion card
maybe get my door fixed

2 n r 06-28-2010 01:01 AM

1/3 in the bank
1/3 to friends and family
1/3 spend, invest and charity

first thing i would do tho would be to take a long vacation with the boys and then buy a house and some supercars!!

You're a fucking idiot if you think you can open a hotel let alone hotels with a 50 million dollar jackpot.

haha i dont think No 4 is an option.. you know how much is it to open just 1 hotel in vegas.. mind you there are TONS.. in order to compete.. i dont think $50million is even enough... plus you said you give 30% which is around 15million.

-buy a place here, tokyo, taipei, hk, shanghai and if i have money to spare, NY. by a place I mean a 1-2 bed condo, or even studio, nothing big, cept vancouver, i'd buy a 3 bedroom at least, or a house.
-buy a few cars for here, buy one decent but (doesnt have to be luxurious) car in every one of those cities too, and a scooter ontop for taipei.
-go on vacation to every one of those places and bring a few friends along maybe lol!
-party a lot and invest my other time into whatever new hobbies or interests
-make films
-investments, and i'd actively trade futures to maintain a steady flow of millions per month for years to come.
-probably get married too.

G 06-28-2010 01:17 AM

1. $700k to charity (split it for numerous charities too)
2. $300k random shopping spree/ party with friends
3. $2 mil house for family
4. $2 mil penthouse suite
5. $5 mil on cars
6. $20 mil investing in banks/stocks/bonds etc.
7. $10 mil split for family, $1mil each branch :P
8. $10 mil on buying property etc for investing.

Total: $50 Mil

Do you really want still work after winning all that money?

My list.

2 mill for a down payment the rest mortgage to buy 5 or 6 acres and build 4 houses for family including a pool, sports court, artificial ice rink and a go cart track.

The rest in the bank. The interest from that would be more than the interest on the mortgage. Should be able to make a couple of mill a year.

OhSoGood 06-28-2010 04:27 AM

My life would be the same, but with just nicer things and no stress :)

well.. 50million will only last for so long.. after you get the money, you'd want to spend lots of it to pamper yourself, family and friends..

what happens when it all goes away? or bad investment... then what your family/friends gona say, haha..

having a steady flow of income is better then not... its basically securing a future for my kids and maybe if they are smart, their kids also and so on...

BlacknJean 06-28-2010 04:43 AM

diggy would spend all of it on food.

El Bastardo 06-28-2010 05:18 AM

I'd buy Revscene

SpuGen 06-28-2010 05:26 AM

I don't think I would know what to do with all of that money.
You buy one thing here, another thing there... it's not gonna take that long for you to realize that you've spent millions, and have nothing really substantial to show for it.

I'd probably just get a nice pretty big Vancouver House. Like Richmond/Surrey "big"
Huge Driveway, and a pretty big house. Huge Garage. But in Vancouver. If I can't find one, I'll make one. I don't need a big house. I just want alot of property in a central location. Haaah not likely in Vancouver.
A couple cars for myself and family...
Share a bit with friends/family. I'm not gonna just give it to them. Something like helping them buy thier first house, or pay off student loans, or invest my money into thier business. That sort of thing. I'm usually generous, but I'm not gonna hand someone $xxx,000 just to blow it on something.

Save/Invest the rest into a Franchise or something. Like Captain Happy Bubble.

taylor192 06-28-2010 06:13 AM

I would buy every online forum I am on and remove all the moderators. Then I would randomly ban anyone that argued with me.

After that, $50M invested at a safe 6% dividend returns $50.7K/week, $220K/mn, or $2.64M/yr after tax - that is if you could get a lump sum. Many of these charities don't pay out a lump sum.

mb_ 06-28-2010 06:39 AM

25%-30% savings
10% for kids in the future
rest will be all out but spend it wisely (ie, not buying 20 houses, 200 cars etc - would be nice but i don't like spoiling myself too much or open a business that will get some consistent flow of money)

Greenstoner 06-28-2010 06:56 AM

If i win LottoMax, i will use that money to win next top prize by buying all possible selection combo..

I will never be poor

E-40six 06-28-2010 07:01 AM

If I ever won, i wouldnt tell anyone

I'd just put money in the bank, live life like any regular person and buy myself a modest sized house and continue to run my business like nothing's changed. and enjoy life without any worries.

No point being flashy and flinging around the money you didnt earn, its just asking for trouble and new family members to come knocking on your door

Presto 06-28-2010 07:03 AM

Hookers and blow. ALL OF IT.

Hookers and blow. Then whatever is left goes on red.

I'd give most of it to charity. The rest to my kids. Nothing to the wife. LOL, although she'd get half of whatever no matter what. Oh right, forgot........ I'm giving most of it to charity. LOLOLOLOL.

As soon as I get senile or disabled or too old, I'll hire someone to just shoot me dead, 'cause life sucks and then you die.

CP.AR 06-28-2010 08:11 AM

I'd pay off my parent's mortgages, buy my grandparents a 5 series, an SL55 for my dad, and I know my mom likes to stick with her CR-V. (not going to turn her into a X5 driving C-Lai anyhow)

Then, give $2mil to various charities, with the biggest hunk going to cancer research and the children's hospital.

The rest?
Invest 3/4 and save 1/4
