How to Pass a Bike? Foremost important thing - *Flame suits on* *ignore fail ratings* *FC potential* Well, I find it a bit annoying and paranoid as in how to pass a bike (both sports bike and harleys) without pissing them off ! As most of you might have experienced the high rate of acceleration of bikes, you know how fast it can be. But, when the bike is riding the left passing lane at wee hours like 11-12 pm, driving at 60-80 km/h. What would you do? Usually, when I speed up, they speed up too. But when I'm on normal speed, they just ride beside you. Sometimes, I hate the noise the bike creates and tried to speed up, and you knew it, they catch up too. So..... |
friggin hate the sound of harleys.......and fire trucks. |
Shift down 2 gears, hit VTAKK, change lanes. (fail suit on) |
Get yourself a car with some balls that can pass bikes. Either that or make an ATTEMPT to pass them so they can see your trying to get ahead. They will either speed up or slow down, once you do pass get in front of them so they dont have the option to roll up beside you again without changing lanes. Most "performance" oriented cars can easily hang with bikes in corners tho so easy way to lose them. |

Then I guess you cant beat them. Its just the same with some cars not letting you pass/get ahead of them. |
Just slow down. let them ride off. Trust me bikers don't like to get cut off by anyone even civic with b18 vtakk. It is normal for a motorcycle to act that way. We are taught in riding schools to stay in front of cars or beside them for the car driver to notice us especially at night. |

Usually, if I see a car coming up behind me that is going faster than me, I will change langes when safe to do so. Please don't tailgate bikes. If they are being a dick and don't change lanes even when it's safe, feel free to downshift and blow pass him. But if he's a dick, like you said, he will probably accelerate too, lol |
pedal to the metal, and if that doesnt work...just drive like a granny so u dont piss off any bikers  |
Or maybe they just riding beside your ultimate driving machine in hopes that you'll get annoyed try to floor it, just to slap u silly. Quote:

if its at night, ive seen a few people who actually try to notify me that they're trying to pass me. what some have done is when they're behind me, they'll flash their high beams on and off a few times to grab my attention, once i see that i have no problem if they wanna pass me. however...to those that jut blow past me when im already doing a good 140+....guess whos comming right up on your ass at double the speed....ME! |

You really have no business trying to pass bikes if you can't pass an rsx-s on the highway. Quote:

I always get a pack of bikes on my ass at night on the highway, I'll be going like 120 and all of a sudden they're pretty much kissing my car when i can't move to the right lane, and when i can move into the right lane, I don't get the chance to because they just zoom around me using the right lane. I believe bikers like that are called squids? |

Bikers always complain about how cars don't respect them on the road, but honestly, out of all the stupid things I've seen drivers do, I've seen bikers do FAR worse. |
