Really shitty at the game, so if anyone that isn't too familiar with it wants to play, let me know.

no the points under your username

They're achievement points, kinda like the xbox live system. Go to your profile then achievements and you can browse through all the single player and multi player ones.

SC2 in my local PC shop is $75 CAD for the English version, $68 for Chinese

Instead of selling out, this is what happens here

LUUUUUUUU 07-28-2010 01:54 AM

buy and download the digital copy?

SkinnyPupp 07-28-2010 02:13 AM

That's what I would do if I were to buy it. It's rare to see PC games cost more than $30 though, even new ones. $40 at the very most.

I'm assuming you are shopping in HK? I agree, I have never paid this much for a PC game before, I'm just hoping to be paying this much for future battle.net improvements and such.

They're about HKD480 (CAD65) in most places for the SE Asia english version. I got mine in WanChai188 for HKD488, friend bought it for HKD480 in MongKok.

Online digital SE Asia English version is SGD109=HKD620=CAD82.

Online digital US version is USD60=HKD470 (err these exchange rates are from google)

I'm not sure which english version you are going for, but the SE Asia version will also be able to play on US servers later on, "within 60" days as stated by blizzard.

I just took a look at my local PC game shop, that's all. It's a small shop far from any major city like Wan Chai or MK. They usually have very good prices and good selection, but not this time :)

Hard is still pretty straightforward, it's like playing a bronze level player.

Very hard is difficult because their units are stronger than yours, it takes more than just straight powering/pushing with a large army against Very Hard AI. Need to harass/stealth/cheese

Is anyone having problems playing SC2?

I have a quad core with a nvidia 8800 video card, but it keeps crashing after about 10-15 minutes of play. I've never really had an issue with any other games before, but it works fine when i set all the settings to low, which is pretty damn annoying..

the 8800gt is more than enough for SC2

by playing on LOW your putting much less stress on the GPU so it won't heat up as much
which brand of the 8800gt do you have? because I've owned about 3 8800gt before and most of them had overheating issues which was a common problem for the evga, bfg brands

so if you were trying to play on medium, chances are the GPU is overheating which will crash the game

You sure its the minimum?

I have an 8800 GT and I'm running high settings for almost everything and I've had no issues.

Only time I've gotten any issues is during last night's ums madness map where there were 1000+ units on the map and I got like 5 fps
