just watched the 2nd half of the games, but from a zergs point of view that was disgusting, there was literally nothing that zergs could have done to overcome that
1) Nydus rush
2) Roach burrow tech (MC barely ever goes robo tech)
3) Spine crawlers on natural upon 6gate spotting
4) Not attacking into chokes when the toss has 8 sentries w/ high energy
Seriously July was a terrible representation of a Zerg player tonight but I never thought highly of him in SC2 anyway....
He would not get nydus in time and if he did that wouldn't work against a high level player, look at his building placements he had vision all over the base. And if he did rush nydus tech he would of gotten owned anyways because MC always had a high count of attacking units
If you watched the games July tried to get burrow tech but lost before it completed or just got crushed waiting for it to finish.
Spine crawlers wouldnt do shit against all the units MC had
and your last strat did you watch the games at all? July fought on open fields and MC made fucken crazy chokes with forcefields. HE MADE A FUCKEN DONUT! TWICE!!!!
I don't think any zerg player can deal with MC's build
July did a TERRRRRIBLE job controlling his engagements..
WTF attacking into a choke to a toss sentry/blink stalker army in game 4?! Yeah he did get donuted, but before that, there was a critical moment when he lost most of his roach hydra army because he made a retarded decision to attack off creep INTO a choke knowingly
WTF at missing the burrow tech timing/engaging MC too early before it completes
I do agree w/ you on the spine crawlers, but he would've been better off spending minerals on 6+ spine crawlers and lings/roach instead of roach hydra.. It makes for alt easier defending of your nat, and you can snipe down running stalkers/sentries with speedlings if their numbers are diminished enough.
I know it feels like zerg can't do much but you simply can't make a cost effective army of hydras vs. 6 gate...
This is really contrary to what people say about "hydras own gateway units" and that is true to a certain extent but not in the early game where you're so gas limited and can't really have a big enough supply to dps down everything in split seconds.
I feel like july set himself up perfectly for those defeats, other than the first game with the feint nexus.. that was really tricky shit!
I'm trying to get back more into sc2. Been mostly practicing vs AI, a few ladder games. I'm Silver league, pretty bad still; I'd like someone at my level for a practice partner. Noone is on the channel atm, it is channel "Revscene" right? We can play team games too for fun and anything else. Code 308; zenkai

I play zerg, and thats pretty much the truth lol. I have the larvae inject set up like this though:
all queens - ctrl 1
hatches - ctrl 5
unit type 1 - ctrl 2
unit type 2 - ctrl 3
unit type 3 - ctrl 4
not usually use anything after 5, cept overlord at 0 or something.
binded my "back" thumb button for center base hatch. I press ctrl 1 for queens and hit the "back" button then v for each hatch I have. I tried the other ways I find this one best for me.
I do find Terran macro to be trickiest imo, hotkeying all the buildings and queuing up. Protoss warp gate is quite a breeze, just need to find a good way to get a quick hotkey to a pylon in a good area.

Maybe I could be a candidate. But I dunno, I'm not even ranked in 1v1 yet.
I'm like one of those guys that were pretty decent in SC1, only played a bunch of AI's in SC2, and still haven't fully adapted yet.

Can't promote anymore until 29th. I gave up playing 1v1 for a while to up my ranks on team games. I made it to top 25 on all team games but haven't found time to focus on one and get to top 8.

My hotkeying style is similar for all 3 races:
My main (Toss): 1 ground army, 2 colossus or templars, 3 air units, 4 nexus, 5 gateways, 6 robo, 7 stargate, 8 upgrades, 9,0 -> obs
yea havnt played much 1 v 1 s lately.. and just found out that alot of the 1 v 1 maps are now 4 players map >__<
I think when you play 1v1 on some 4 player maps, the spawn points
between you and your opponent are always diagonally across or something like that?? So you get a big map,
but not so much luck involved in guessing where the opponent is in the opening scouting.

my control is pretty funky..
ive changed a lot of the keyboard settings ahah
i changed ctrl 0 to ` key
so my unit control is `,1,2
` is my scouter
1 is main army
2 is stalker/ HT/ sentries
2 is pretty much my micro key lol
3is nexus cz E for probe is right under
4 is robo
5 is stargate
6 is forge
and thats bout it...
lot more unit control was changed so i can macro in fights a lot faster... but my avg apm is still 100

works so well for me
sick, im remapping my 0 to ` after this..
i've used the 0 key for any mobile detector units like overseer/raven/observer, but ill use the ` key for an additional army slot and switch the observer key to 9.
as for my current hotkey setup its
1 - hatch/cc
2 - queens/rax
3 - zerg army/factory
4 - early game scout drone/scv into starport or zerg army #2
5 - army #3
6 - army #4
7 - specialists - banshee/infestor/ghost
8 - misc
9 - supply depot at my wall-in, so i can quickly raise/down it
0 - detectors
