Urgent Help!! Spilled Milk in Trunk, Turned into Cheese

Fuccck!
long story short, milk spilled into trunk
carpet were cleaned and alright, but some spilled deep inside the trunk and into the lower battery compartment. (car is a bmw 335i, battery is in the trunk)
Took everything out, but there is this grill thing the battery sits on, and the milk spilled down under the grill which I can't get my hands on....
I can scrap a small section of it with my finger...and there is literally this layer of "cheese" that smell horrible sitting underneath the grill

is there ANything that can neutralize that layer of "cheese"? I can't get my hands or any tools to physically scrap all of it of...

I sprinkled a few boxes of baking soda and vacuumed it off 3 times already, but the smell and that layer of cheese is still there

Did i tell you i don't even like cheese to start with!?!?

Btw...i thought of pouring boiling water in there and vacuuming it off. But the positive terminal for the battery is right in the lower compartment....not sure if that will mix well with water...

Take a butter knife or something and start scooping it out.

Oh, and bring bagels

lol...RS are full of assholes

ok..i drew this diagram...
you can't scrap off the cheese directly even with the battery out, coz there is this slotted grill thing on top of it...(it is welded together with the bottom)
(the slots holes are about the side of my finger..i can spray things on it, and vacuum things out.)

Just give the car to me, problem solved.

btw...i poured a bunch of baking soda on it to try to cover and absorb the smell (This is what it looks like now)...gonna leave it on there until I figure out what to do...:(

nice diagram..
Try removing the battery and use a powerful suction vacuum and different attachments. Empty cheese on plate and enjoy.

nice diagram.. i am stumped =.= but why would they have that space there... must be reach-able some how.. i doubt they will leave a space like that.. i mean... if you do pour hot water... how will the water leave that space? suckin it out as well? man, i will still say, remove the whole battery and pour hot water.. works well on.. umm =.= old milk haha? just sayin

Ugh, I feel for you. I discovered a bag of raw chicken in my mom's car trunk (a 330ci coincidentally). It had been sitting there for days, and it reeked! To this day, that trunk still smells funky...

Well, the design of the 335i may be stupid but there has got to be a way to get the grill thingy off. Take a rachet and a socket set, maybe even a clip remover and spend an afternoon trying to take it apart.

That white shit you are referring to is battery corrosion.

Mix some baking soda + water and pour it on the battery termainals, neutralizes the corrosion and just clean it off with water. Maybe this could work for the OP as well, hahahah. Since he has nothing to lose anyways.
