Cellcom is a good Rogers dealer. They really do treat their employees well. I can vouche for them.

During University I worked at a Telus Mobility dealership in Vancouver. We received tonnes of resumes and I would throw away the ones with poor grammar or spelling errors.

I kept away from this thread as most points are covered already.

however, one of your previous post suggest you really dont care and you anr just looking for a job.
If this is the case, look somewhere else. The industry cut throat. If you fail to reach your targets, you make little money and have your managers riding your ass.

It may seem like a pretty easy job with more and more people purchasing cell phones; but it is not what you think.
The industry cares about existing customers, to a point. Their (and yours) bread and butter are new contracts. Depending on your location, you are expected to sign anywhere between 25-40 NEW activations per month. The exact figure is depends on the traffic of your location and the number of hours you work.

The job requires good salesmen skills and great will power. Not only will you have to focus on selling, but you must also deal with all the clients who have issues. For every 1 decent customer, you will have to tend to 3 negative customers. I have had a customer throw a phone at my head because she was angry. You must posses the correct mindset to overcome these issues and put on a smile everything you greet a customer.

If you are still interested, try looking for a repuatable company. The previous post gives you a vauge idea on which company to scout out. My advise is to head to a coporate location. Corporate locations usually have a bit more slack if you dont perform well.

Someone through a phone at you head wtf Damn that's a first time hearing that. Well I'm not scared of the industry but it does seem really demanding.

Rk604 - but when your writing anything your typing into a program that's making changes to anything you may screw up plus you got spell check, so it's all good lol. I don't always take the time to check everything on here sometimes my iPhone will think I'm trying to type something else or I type what I want and it changes it to another, I usually don't go back to check it always depends if I want too ha

So...you're typing this on your iphone and you want to work in the wireless industry, yet you have little patience for grammar/spelling just because you don't want to proofread what you are about to post AND you want to work in a commission world??? I would say, try another industry pal.

Having worked in retail for the last 7 years in a SHARK infested, commission-fed environment, you'll need some traits like patience, determination, and also be careful of what you say. Knowledge of a product comes in handy, but if you can't have an adequate conversation or convey what you are saying in a CLEAR way, you won't make shit in this industry pal.

building a good relation with ur co worker is another good thing to do. if you appear overly aggressive, others will notice and team up on you, and don't be picky on ur customer. serve everyone the same way, and don't ditch ur customers to ur co worker if you think they are just window shopping or something.

I work for a telus dealer and do their payroll. Our focus is mainly business to business.

The only people who make this much are very very skilled business outside sales folks who are on all commission.

Inside sales / store clerks typically in our establishment start out around $12/hour + commission and I understand this is well over industry standard. Occationally we will hire higher then that but only for someone with extensive skills. We expect our inside sales folks to do some administration and non selling tasks, hence the slightly higher age we give. We do have a few inside sales guys who can pull in about $4000 a month because of thier commission but they're very few and far between and really very genuinely talented sales people.

Our outside sales folks make commission only so thier wages depend hugely on their clients and how hard they work.

Forming a grammatically correct sentence takes minimal effort. Your past posts in reference also show a lack of maturity with regards to your search for employment. FYI: the owners of Cell City and several area managers of Wireless Wave are also on this website.

Ok. No more grammatical attacks. This isn't what this thread is about.
