First episode was pretty crappy I thought, so many stupid lines and actions in it they all could be a meme
"pull up to thousands of abandoned cars on freeway - "we can't turn around, can't spare the fuel"
The acting is so cheesy after walking a bunch of HBO series back to back before this, by the looks of the previews at the end it
Looks like it will get more interesting but I'm not holding my breathe Posted via RS Mobile
What happened to the Zombies sense of smell??? Remember the first few episodes when they had to cover themselves with zombie guts? Now they can hide under a car and not be smelled?
Yep, this first episode of this season combined with the last episode of last season has me rethinking if I should watch this. Its an interesting show, yet the plot holes are already appearing and are very annoying, not something that can just be overlooked.
Every time there is a scene with a shitload of zombies, there is a small hope inside of me that someone will throw something that will make limbs fly all around...I've been disappointed thus far
But now that you mentioned it, I forgot about that
I had to rewind to see if I was right. If it's an Easter egg, then that's pretty cool. AMC owns The Walking Dead (unlike Mad Men and Breaking Bad) so it wouldn't surprise me if they put that in there for fun.
As far as I know...
Spoiler!
...meth isn't blue in real life (although there was a thing with food coloring awhile ago where the media blamed Breaking Bad) so it was probably a Breaking Bad bit of an Easter egg.

Again, zombies are not the focus of The Walking Dead...it's all about the characters. What's the difference? Humans in other zombie flicks are simply bags of guts that haven't been eaten or zombified yet. The Walking Dead is a character drama much like...how Mad Men is about people that happen to work at an ad agency...it's not about advertising. Also, the "villain" of The Walking Dead isn't the zombies.
So if you're hoping for Dawn of the Dead, I think you're going to be disappointed...and I've read 90 issues of the comic so I have a pretty good idea where this is going.
Maybe it's me and my thinning attention span but I'm having a time trying to get as into this season verses last. I found myself getting up to move around during the longer dialogues kinda like commercials. *yawn
