I still dont understand why they dont just dig a Moat around the prison..

doesnt have to be that deep.. 2-3feet.. unless "their" zombies can climb? then use the dirt and stack it on their side of the moat!!

agree with the posts above. how they handled the fence situation is just pure fail. when you now have all that manpower and time you'd think they can regularly maintain control of that problem. its not like they have GTA5 to pass the time by. the writing is just getting more and more facepalm.

There're zombies everywhere, how are you going to get out and dig your moat? For that amount of people and equipment, they'll be all dead before they can get 6 feet down. And pretty sure zombies can climb or do whatever motor movement a normal person can do. Their cognitive brain is destroyed but they can do any motor movement.

instead of a moat, they should just stick it in their brains any chance they get. it should be handled when there's even only 5-10 zombies.. not 50+ zombies.

have you seen any zombies climb.. Im talking about this series.. in other zombies movies/show, they show more advanced motor skills...

their slow movement is predictable.. the only advantage the zombies show is their shear size... im sure 2-3 guys can cover a 5person digging team.. it doesnt need to be 6ft, like a said 2-3ft is more then enough.. with the dirt extracted, this 2-3ft moat can turn into 5-6ft wall when the zombies fall in..
stick some wooden spikes at the bottom.. im think they should be good for awhile..
Sure it would take them a long time.. but heck.. where are you in a hurry for? LMAO how long have they been stuck in that prison...

They definitely fail on maintaining control of the problem lol. Even with the amount of people they have now, it takes like what? 5-10 seconds to stab one zombie in the brain. With like 5 or 10 volunteers it shouldn't be that hard to clear out all the zombies up against the fence. Unless there's 100's of zombies swarming the fence every minute which I highly doubt, I don't see how it should be that big of a problem.

also the only reason how I see more zombies are finding the prison is because of daryl's motorcycle...

I keep thinking the same thing. In reality you should be able to clear that mess in 10-15 mins tops. They talk about it as if there's some auto respawn glitch or something.

I just realized something..

They could just outfit one of their cars with sharp blades sticking out the side and do a DRIVE by and take out the mass zombies all lined up along the fence...

Honestly, the zombies in walking dead are pretty easy to kill and maintain.

Firstly, they should have decoy stations set up so as not to overwhelm the fence. A bunch of bells and sound making devices would do the trick and have a pill box to mow them down.

Yeah the plot holes in this show are just becoming too much to believe.

As others have pointed out their inability to clear the fence borders on retardation.

Also the fact that Rick uses gasoline to set the pig shed on fire is crazy to me. Unless the show mentions somewhere how they figured out how to extract and refine gasoline, then I'm pretty sure it would be a hot commodity.

I'm going to give walking dead a few more episodes, but if it doesnt spark anything new over the next few, I am out. I think the novelty has simply worn out...
