What about texting? Thanks, this should be my last question :p |

Nope for both, i called up mobilicity and talk to a store rep to double confirm :) . As long as you're inside a moblicity zone, don't matter where the hell you are in Canada if you're inside a mobilcity zone, it's free. Ex: you have a vancouver number, travel to T.O. (i do that a few times a year.) and i use my cell to call a T.O. # or Vancouver #. It's still free. |
unlimited data ftw!!! http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y113/aludus/ftw.jpg lol no I didn't really dl 6gb, it's a glitch in the program, my buddy on the Rogers 1gb plan saw that and was like :fuuuuu: |

any updates from mobilicity users? |
I got fed up with the htc snap and went back to the store to report the problem. They offered to just replace the same phone or with something else. Upgraded to the 3g curve. Data and call quality is definitely faster and better. It just harder to text as the keyboard is smaller than on the snap. Posted via RS Mobile |
if your looking for a Mobilicity plan, and need hardware, I know a guy that is giving %0ff. pm me. |
eh i never check this part of the forum but i used mobilicity for a few days i was on roaming in alot of places. underfound parking lots, canada line and underground areas in general 3g speeds arnt bad tho. wouldnt mind using it if it was more reliable :/ EDIT: just read the last few pages for cnd roaming is it free of charge when i text? |
you will see roaming in alot of places atm, because in the Mobilicity zone, normally the Rogers towers are off, atm, they are in the process of optimizing the network, leaving those towers on, therefore your phone will pick up the strongest signal avail, that being rogers hence the roaming. if you leave it on manual search, and stick with Mobilicity, you will have a better idea of how good the coverage/reception is. |
btw, Data has been better lately, every1 should whip out their phone and see how steady it is, any questions holler. |
What do you mean data is better? Please explain. |
|
Data is slightly still pretty bad for me. Also went down in speed since yesterday. Before I was barely getting data but when I did it was ~1.75 mbps. Now I'm slightly better than barely getting data but speeds around 0.80 mbps. Posted via RS Mobile |
how do you check how fast data is? I have the 3g curve btw... |

But stronger? Do you mean signal strength? |
^yep.. normally get 3 bars of signal at home but im at full bar (5) now. meh ill go back to mobilicity in the spring or when it gets better.. cause sitting in the canada line will suck if theres no service. |

A Node-B will shrink and expand its coverage footprint depending on the amount of users (or phones) in the area. The more users, the smaller the coverage and as a domino effect, the slower your data speeds (relatively.) This is a feature called cell breathing and is based on power control on the serving cell site. |
the curve i have used to not be able to stream. it now works and confirmed in a forum in hofo. the x10 i have started with intermittent internet. on off on off. its been on pretty steadily with a 1 hour stream now, no problems. Couldnt stream longer cuz of the strain 4" does to the eyes. but i do believe its gettin better day by day. I still have not had a dropped call actually. |
Heads up for people that signed up for mobilicity for the unlimited data, Wind is offering something similar. $40 - unlimited data, text, talk - Canada wide + US call - global text Supposed to start tomorrow and last until Dec 24th http://forums.redflagdeals.com/hot-h...0-wind-976109/ |
^awesome especially when existing users can sign up too! |
^ i'll be switching back to wind, mobi's lack of data service is just killing me haha. |
The Always Shout promo is $45 on Wind's website, but on RFD it is $40. :(:(:( |
