Anybody having issues about not being able to make or receive calls? It just started last night. I have called their technical support but been on hold for half hour but still nothing. I have called some dealers and no answer...

Does anybody know what is up?

Ikkaku 01-18-2011 01:14 PM

ever since they disabled the roaming towers or whatever, my mom has been unable to get any signal down at the canada line :lol mind you she has the shitty SE flip phone

anybody else experiencing similar problems?

I was thinking of switching to mobilicity but my coworkers have reception issues when we're at work and in our building. They end up on CDN roaming, and that makes me fear in general.

I think I'll wait until my contract's almost up.

Have you considered maybe switching to WIND instead?

Not with the phones they have, and I'm not interested in buying a BNIB phone from another company then paying to unlock it.

I'll be honest. I'm a lazy fuck.

New Mobilicity Plan for $45

Unlimited Canada- and US-wide calling, unlimited data, unlimited text & pic messaging and unlimited global text messaging. It also includes caller ID, voicemail, call waiting, call forwarding, 3 way calling and Blackberry Internet Service. No contract required.

Bye bye Fido.

I am probably going to go on to Mobilicity after my 3 year contract ends with Fido this year.

Quick question:

Anyone have any idea which of Mobilicity's limited selection of phones provides the best reception? I currently have the HTC Snap and a friend of mine owns a Blackberry Curve and it seems he gets better reception than I do. In some places like underground parking lots my HTC snap would be out of service while his Curve would still show connection to the 3G network. So yeah, can anyone please recommend a phone with the best reception on the Mobilicity network. Thanks in advance! :)

Does mobilicity give subsidized rate on phones like rogers does?,, Paying 550$ up front is very steep

No, because they don't offer contracts you must buy the phone straight up. If you end up staying with them eventually you will make your money back but that will take a lil while.

If you think $550 for a phone is steep, may I suggest you finance your phone? You pay $100 for the phone, then pay $15/mth on top of your monthly phone bill for 3 years. Does that sound familiar? Because that is what the big three's are doing to you. And if you do the math, you end up paying $640 for the $550 phone. Now which one is more expensive again???

I think you are right.
I was thinking that rogers let u hardware upgrade once every 12-18 month. for like $150 to newest iphone or blackberry.

So i guess it feels better for customers cuz you always get newer phones quicker vs every 3 yrs on mobilicity.

it takes away phone-whoring

a number set by the provider dependent on the maximum markup the provider feels consumers are willing to pay. I guess you can see it as an interest rate.

Looking at joining with Moblicity and hoping a few of you can tell me what converage is like in South Burnaby, and New West?

I was looking at the the promo's page on their website and looks like Toronto is getting a much better deal then us.

They get what we get but they can go on multi-month payment plan and basically get unlimited everything for $29.99/month (if you prepay 12 months)......looks like in Vancouver we cant put the promo $40 plan on the multi-month payment plan unless I'm missing something. Plus they get $125 rebate on a phone purchase.

http://mobilicity.ca/promos/

Any idea if they will give this promo to vancouver......I'll just wait a bit if this deal comes to Vancouver

kwanzor 03-03-2011 10:46 AM

if u go on multi month prepaid it works out to $30/month on the $45 plan.. in vancouver .. and if u only use it for 6 months u get a check back for the remaining months u cancelled.

any more questions just ask

Can anyone comment on how coverage is in Douglas College. I wonder if there will be signal inside the college. Hopefully there's someone on here who's a Douglas College student and has mobilicity who can tell me how it is. Thanks

Is anyone on RS going to the mobilicity/hofo meet? lol
