Ahh i see. Yah generally they would be pretty close. The lines on the back of the sticks/shafts are mostly guidlines and wont be 100%. But close.

Also Easton sticks now, starting from about last year, are only the listed flex after being cut about 1.5"-2"approx. So an uncut stick will feel whippier than listed. The flex rating on the cutting guidlines on the back reflect that.

eg: Reebok 85 uncut will be stiffer than Easton 85 uncut.

Also check out shafts from Harrow, they are longer than the other companies so it won't be as stiff when you cut.

I've seen Harrow around but not much anymore. Who still carries them?

Most INT sticks I've looked at the past couple days seems to either be perfect height or at most I would have to cut 1" off

Hey just got confirmation that between Nov 11th thru Nov 14th, sportchek + HX is doing buy one get one 50% off on ALL hockey sticks! Which includes sticks such as the S19, EQ50, RBK 11K, Total One, One 95, One 100, Warrior Dolomite DD and Spyne, CCM U+ CL, and much much more.

This is probably the best stick deal we ever had, as we never put our composites on a bogo deal, especially the high end stuff.

We sell out S19 at $309.99, someone mentioned that hockey shop sells it for cheaper, so I will price match for a single stick, or do the buy one get one deal at the $309.99 price depending on which ever is a better deal for the customer

SolidPenguin 11-09-2010 07:18 PM

Yea I have no problem matching the 269 price of the hockey shop
But if you want to take advantage of the buy one get one 50% off promo, we can only do that with the system price, which works out to around $230 each when you buy two.

If you are seriously interested in buying 2 S19s, come in and see one of us and we'll see if we can do any better

Just found out from my hockey manager that the S19 is already marked down, not sure how much its marked down to, but should be lower than the 309.99 + the bogo on top of that.

Apprently the One95 is on sale too, I'll update prices tmr after I find out at work. And bogo will still apply with on sale items too

do you work on skates?

im gonna drop by tomorrow

skiiipi 11-11-2010 04:19 PM

Yea, I can sharpen them, or any of the HX guys.
Just make sure you ask the HX guys to sharpen it specifically, as oppose to just giving it to the techs.
The techs do an okay job, but they are not hockey players, the HX guys will do a better job. (As long as u come during the day)

The mgr of HX, short japanese guy, and solidpenguin, asian guy with black revscene lanyard both do a very good job.

Went by Rich center this afternoon to check out some sticks. Totalones are so sweet! I think the MGR helped me. Although I might just get a mid model Warrior. Can't remember the model.
