So I'm heading to BCIT Wednesday for a scholarship ceremony, and while I'm at I'm gonna buy my books for my auto foundation class. Can anyone give me an easy way to find the bookstore? Also, is the visitor parking on White Avenue usually loaded with student cars (the ceremony itself is at the church on Willingdon so i'll be coming from there)?

Bookstore beside the pub which that whole area is basically the center of the campus

Probably shouldn't buy books until your teacher let's you know what you need

I'm not too sure if the online book list means anything, but every book in the class on the list was marked as "Required". Maybe trades differentiates heavily from other classes...

Might as well wait until November 15th to see what's up.

and order them from amazon.CA. i usually get them in a week.

i usually email my profs when i register the semester before and order used ones from the states or amazon.COM. this can take up to a month tho.

@ CorneringArtist: if you are strapped for cash then just share books/photocopy them...save yourself a lot of money that way...

CorneringArtist 10-17-2010 02:07 PM

It's not the cash issue, it's just that I have a feeling that the books will have work sections in them, and carrying a physical book rather than a binder of papers that might rip out or get damaged in a shop environment would be better off for me (I'm left handed, and I've had pages rip out on me because of the way my hand rests in my binder).

Dangerphoto 10-17-2010 02:09 PM

^ ah, if the book can be separated...put each section into a few folders and just bring for the folder for the week of the section being taught....that could help reduce damage...
