Really depends on your fall rate, which is largely dependant on your size and weight. A big guy like me dropping from 10k popping at 3ish would probably be a little over 30s, but my much lighter sister would probably take 45 and a really lanky person in a wing suit could probably stretch it a little over a minute.

Heh. Nope, sure didn't. I'm sure there's a science friendly reason for why I fall considerably slower than my sister in a normal arch, but if my above description is wrong, I couldn't tell you why..

Hahahaha science 10 fail. Galileo is rolling in his grave now. There won't be much difference. Wingsuit however is a game changer. Actually I think if you tuck like superman you can acheive higher speeds when everyone is at terminal velocity.

www.flyzone.ca

I did this for my birthday this week, the $99 package for 4 mins. It was a blast! I'd recommend trying it if you have $100 to blow.

4 mins seems like a long time once in the tunnel. You have to use so many muscles to stabilize yourself, many you don't normally use, so it gets tiring very fast - especially shoulders and lower back.

I don't get it.. Why would you want to spend so much money to float in a tunnel for a few minutes, when you could spend a little bit more and go real skydiving.

Risk. Some people don't like jumping out of a plane from 13,000 feet. The odds may seem favorable, but I could have been the one to get the defective chute, had I not been sick that day. Fortunately, my friend survived by landing in a farmers field, but it was a long recovery, afterward.

My GF bought us both the package cause she refuses to go skydiving, hates heights, yet loved this.

A "little bit more" is not correct. This was $99 for 4 minutes. Skydiving is $250 for < 1 min, plus you're strapped to a dude.

Overall experience is significantly longer though, thats what I was considering.

Tried it out, the people there actually set up shop four units down from my work. It's pretty neat I must admit but I couldn't justify paying for it.

Low. My sister has a story of one of the girls she jumped with had her primary chute fail, before cutting it loose she slammed into other divers and caused some shit. Everyone landed safe, yet I can see why people would rather do this than the real deal.

A bit OT but am I the only one that is irked by companies putting "Vancouver" in their name when they are clearly not located in Vancouver? I personally find it confusing at best and downright misleading at worst. Richmond is a suburb of Vancouver, it is not Vancouver, huge distinction here. It's almost as if they are unscrupulously trying to use Vancouver's image to bolster their company name. This type of faux marketing is by no means limited to Vancouver, I just find this kid of tactic bothersome.

PS. I am not trying to be anti-Richmond or whatever, I went to school there, I am strictly commenting on this type of faux-marketing.

I tell my friends in the US that I live in Vancouver, BC....not Burnaby, BC. I see what you mean, but it doesn't bother me much. I guess they could say, "short drive from Vancouver, BC".

Ya I guess it should be the Richmond International Airport then too...

Try living in Surrey where everyone south of #10 highway thinks theyre in "white rock." That one really pisses me off.

the sensation might be the same but i'd much rather do the real thing, the scenery. the exhilaration. much more worth it.
