Oh man, best part of that promo is seeing harrow mounting up! hes been out of action too long

kristianhay 11-21-2012 01:08 AM

Was kind of surprised they killed off Owen, but I couldn't see the two "running away" as the way that both characters leave the show.

Next episode looks great! That's the Boardwalk Empire we all want to watch, none of this sappy, boring bullshit. Definitely looks as if the Harrow is ready to murk Gillian from the promo as well, so I think that's a pretty good guess. Looking forward to seeing some good ol' gun fights.

Ron_Swanson 11-21-2012 01:37 AM

nice... can't wait. it's Harrow time.

Ch28 11-24-2012 04:26 PM

Oh man! Can't believe they didn't even show Slater get off'd. I liked his character :(

One of my favorite scenes with slater, lol fucking gory

Best episode of the series. No exaggerations.

Nucky got some nice kills in the beginning. I bet it was a shocker for him to see how little power and loyalty in others he actually has.

Props to Chalky for being a standup guy throughout.

Next episode looks even better:

Ch28 11-26-2012 01:32 AM

The ending with Eli & Capone was fucking awesome!

"We've been on the road for 18 hours. I need a bed, some chow, and then you and me sit down...and we talk about who dies" *smirk*

Ron_Swanson 11-26-2012 01:50 AM

Man... season finale already :okay:

Harrow looks crazy in that preview. I really hope he doesn't get off'd this season...

and this was the best episode this season because no margaret :fullofwin:

kristianhay 11-26-2012 02:04 AM

Finally the Boardwalk Empire we all love. Great action, suspense and story throughout this episode. As stated above, that last line of Capone's was fucking awesome.

604STIG 11-26-2012 02:21 PM

I was ready to write off the entire show because it's been so mind numbing this season. This episode brought the show back to life. Awesome line at the end with Capone, and a BIG PLUS to no Margaret this episode.

wingies 11-26-2012 04:11 PM

I agree with you all, holy shit capone came out like a boss!

harrow looks like he gonna fuck shit up! probalby kill all of gyps men in the brothel

Harvey Specter 11-26-2012 04:22 PM

Shit's going to go down in the finale.

Matsuda 11-26-2012 06:44 PM

Now I wanna grab a cigar.

SaviorSelf_666 11-27-2012 09:32 PM

If Harrow gets off'd imma be pissed.

StylinRed 11-28-2012 08:56 PM

just watched it.... finally, now that the season is over the show becomes watchable.... :seriously:

and i thought that ending scene with Capone was cheesy; im surprised it's a popular one

cant believe we gotta wait a year again for more episodes (after the next one) hope it wont be 10 more snoozefest episodes and a couple good ones

nns 11-28-2012 09:03 PM

They could've done so much more with Van Alden. I was waiting for him to get mobbed up and start killing people for a living.

I think people liked that scene with Capone at the end, not just because of how he was protrayed, but also because it meant that Nucky now had a fair chance of fighting back. Probably goes without saying, but worth the reminder.

nns 12-02-2012 09:50 PM

When Gillian walked into the room and up to the tent, I thought Gyp was in there. It makes sense, he's completely crazy.

Even though it was nice to see Harrow kill people, the whole scene seemed so implausible. Almost every guy Harrow saw, he got the 1st shot off on. For the few guys on the staircase who shot at Harrow first, they all missed. At one point, Harrow is literally standing there and just firing at every guy looking at him. It's like they all circled around him waiting for their turn to get killed.

We never found out what Capone got out of the whole deal.

stuff99 12-03-2012 12:35 PM

You guys complaining about how the show is boring until the end of season has no patience for drama and build up.

nns 12-03-2012 01:46 PM

^Whatever, bro. If you like shows that move at a sloth-like pace, with a supporting cast that is arguably far too big, and subplots that go nowhere, then I'm sure the wait was worth it for you.

I don't need action every episode to be entertained. I do need to see interesting and relevant storylines that match the genre of the show.

And by 'bro', I mean never my bro.

bakasam 12-03-2012 02:25 PM

I think Capone's deal is probably involves a plan to take out Torio (sp?) and letting him run the show. He always wanted to "make it big" sorta thing

Earlier in the season I thought Capone would usurp Torrio, and take him out. What the show has shown us is that after Torrio came back from Italy, he literally just wants to relax. From the looks of it he's already letting Capone handle just about everything anyway.

StylinRed 12-03-2012 08:18 PM

i enjoyed the finale but this time it felt like they tried to stuff too much into it and end unique points too quickly like Luciano, and Rothstein getting the upper hand on Nucky only to have it taken away with 1 phone call

but it was a good episode, the part with Harrow was a bit fantastical he should have at least gotten shot and preferably critically shot with his final scene being the part with him taking the kid to safety (maybe that will still happen?)

I had it dvr'd and it stopped recording before the show ended, did anything happen after Nucky was pulling a smoke out at the boardwalk? it cut out right when a couple asked him if he was Nucky

nns 12-03-2012 08:45 PM

What you missed and what it meant:
Quote:

This season, the series entered more depressing and psychological territory, and it's likely that Thompson will continue to develop into a more introspective and guarded character, rather than the showy and complacent honcho he once was.

In the end, we see a different Nucky on the same old boardwalk. He has "won," eliminated a volatile enemy and check-mated his most powerful rival. He's back in control of Atlantic City, but he yearns for a certain anonymity. He ditches his signature boutonniere, and declines the doormen at the Ritz.

As he puts it, "I don't want anyone knowing who I am. I don't want anyone looking into my business. I don't want anyone coming near us who we don't already trust."
