I don't need action every episode to be entertained. I do need to see interesting and relevant storylines that match the genre of the show.

And by 'bro', I mean never my bro.

You're probably the same people that thought Sopranos was boring.

Boardwalk empire first season was slow as balls, but the second season picked up really quickly. I'm on ep 8 of the 2nd season and i started it last week. the first season took me a couple months to get thru it all.

nns 01-02-2013 06:32 PM

Wait till you get to season 3. And I don't say that in a good way.

bloodmack 01-03-2013 05:24 PM

fuck, im on the season finale of season 2 right now lol

Ya, solid season opener. There is a scene that reminds me of Magic City, if anyone watches that as well =D

trancehead 09-11-2013 07:36 PM

Love Magic City! Too bad their seasons are so god damn short!

It was a solid opening episode. Can't go wrong with titties and murder :ilied:

StylinRed 09-12-2013 12:02 AM

was pretty bored with the opener myself /shrug

kristianhay 10-09-2013 09:30 PM

Has anyone been watching this season? Not sure if I should spend the time watching it if it's no good.

StylinRed 10-10-2013 12:07 AM

I've been watching it its enjoyable not as boring as some other seasons have been for their first halfs
dont really know where they're going with it though

wingies 10-10-2013 12:36 AM

Yea this season seems alright, progresses much better then last one. Glad to see more of Al Capone tho

Z3guy 10-10-2013 10:33 AM

the first few episodes are not action packed, but it seems like they are building good groundwork for some serious action coming up (FBI in Nucky's operation, and Van Alden working for Capone, etc.)

nns 10-10-2013 06:43 PM

I really enjoyed the character of Frank Capone. It's a shame he died.

Don't much care for Eddie's death.

I don't know why Van Alden walks around like he's afraid of his own shadow. What happened to the confidence?

I still hate Gillian. It was rather nice to see that her physical appearance finally reflect her inner disgusting self. I hated how she tried to be so proper, when we all know she's a bottom bitch.

Great to see Margaret fucked off somewhere else. That hypocritical, uppity bitch and her little Charlie Manson-looking, creepy ass son.

Damn last Sunday's episode was intense, thought Chalky White was going to die and yet another prominent character getting killed off.

Wonder whats going to happen to the Dr

Lomac 10-29-2013 04:04 PM

What's your guys opinion on the show so far? I tried watching the first season on TV when it first came out and lost interest about halfway through. It's weird because I love period shows, especially those surrounding the prohibition, but something about it made me just made me lose interest. Worth picking up the season discs and trying again?

trancehead 10-29-2013 06:55 PM

^def worth it.

i love the dialog, and the humour is a bit darker.

although there are historical characters and events with a twist at times, it gives a good introduction to them at the very least. ie, i did not know who arnold rothstein was prior lol

Harvey Specter 10-30-2013 05:32 PM

I like how they're building up Chalky and his environment. I'm not a big fan of the undercover fed, I find his character to be annoying. Overall this seasons starting to pick up but I doubt it'll be better than last season, Bobby Cannavale was epic.

nns 11-04-2013 06:19 AM

Nice episode last night. Van Alden delivered.

I find if you stick through the first half of the season it starts to pick up. I lost interest in it to but I ran out of things to watch and decided to give this another go.
