i don't understand why you absolutely HATE hyundai/kia so much...?

hyundai/kia has their own marketing department and they have their own consumer analysts. if they thought it was a good idea to bring the Equus to N.A, then who cares? if they fail, so be it.
it's not like you have stocks in hyundai and lose a lot of money right?

SO WHO THE FUCK CARES?

i don't know you personally to know what kind of financial situation you are in, but HEY, if you had $100K+ to spend on a car, we know you will NEVER buy a hyundai. enough korean car bashing already. jesus

wrong i was a huge fan of koreans 10 years ago

i had 3 korean gfs

i love korean food

i know a lot of korean people

i have a lot of korean products, tvs, cell phones etc in the past

Car product? i just think they are not worth the money they are asking for

Yeah...and the only cars available there ARE (pretty much) Korean cars.

That's kind of a flawed statement, fyi.

It isn't a bad thing that Hyundai is releasing this kind of car, it's just another step up to improve their image, and Hyundai has gone a long way from their terrible past.

It's funny how Mugen Evolution has taken all my fails for today, is he asking for a ban or something? All his posts are harsh bashes and a shitload of fails

Clearly, the market has only opened up relatively recently.

I swear to God 99% of cars on the road are Korean.

its obvious that theres more korean cars in korea... thats like you saying theres alot of japanese cars in japan......

my point was stating that equus selling like hotcakes in korea, even if it is a korean car and 99% of korean streets are flooded with korean cars, the kdm equus market value is almost little less than double the price of usdm equus.. (more useless "cool" options) in fact they even offered equus "limo" longer wheel base versions and they still sold quite a bit with about $100,000+ price tags.. what im saying is since koreans drool over import brands (hell some even drool over pt cruisers..) i was surprised to see the equus sell alot.. instead of most of them thinking like Mugen Evolution and buy a 5series bmw or E class benz..
and if you go to seoul kangnam or any urban areas.. i say its about 40% import vehicles and 60% korean cars not including taxi's and work trucks etc..

You know, to be honest, if they rip out the Hyundai Badge and put anything else there, or just sell it as Centennial, they have a chance. The car looks well appointed. The price is a bargain. It just has that ugly-ass Hyundai logo in the back.

If they don't mention Hyundai on the car, they might have a chance. It looks good too.

Put it in perspective, what if this was a Mercedes, oh, P-class or something. Like a car in between the E and the S class. Everyone would praise it for being affordable luxury or some crap like that.

I would own one... along with several cars in the Hyundai lineup. That car looks badass in that pic.

Berz out.

hyundai is one of the only car maker I respect right now (ford being the other because of the 5.0 and hot hatch focus).
They're taking risks and going into new territory.
The genesis is one of the only entry level rwd coupes available and now they have this luxury car.
I wonder why they didnt follow toyota/honda/nissan and create a luxury brand? That would fix the badge issue and get some good publicity.
