I saw a couple $25 dual handset Vtech's and a sub $50 triple handset Uniden the other day at London Drugs.

Inaii 11-21-2014 11:22 AM

London Drugs has some VTECH brand 2 handset cordless phones for under $50. There's a couple that are on sale (might be website only) for $24.99 right now too click here

Haha Bonka beat me to it.

Are you talking about the thing to turn off your water main out near your property line? If so, you can borrow one from the City works yard on Manitoba St/Marine. It should be no cost to you.

MG1 11-22-2014 06:10 PM

Or fire department. At least it was available to homeowners for free when I needed to shut the main water to property at my mother in law's old house. Vancouver, around 10 years ago. Phone them.

Ah, yah, I forgot about the firehall too.

I'm assuming he's in Vancouver - here's the list of firehalls that have a loaner key:

Where can I buy White Rabbit candy from preferably somewhere along kingsway in Vancouver

fliptuner 11-23-2014 06:07 PM

Last time I got them at Consumer's Produce, between Joyce and Tyne, on the South side.

Thanks so much guys! My father just made one himself (he had one before but it just mysteriously disappeared when he needed it)

We constantly needed it so renting/borrowing wasn't an option. But thank you guys so much for being helpful!
Really appreciate it!!

I gotta ask, why would you need to shut water off at the city main frequently?

anyone know where I can get something like this with a 2.5 in inlet and 3.5 in outlet locally? I've tried lordco but they seem to not have the right sizing in stock....

Any Lordco can order those for you by part number, probably in stock in the warehouse.

Anyone know where I could find 3 inch diameter aluminum piping with a 45* bend?

Similar to this
http://cartoka.com/catalog/images/t202.jpg

or this
http://cartoka.com/catalog/images/bmw-01-111-b.jpg

I would rather not buy another intake system when I just need 6 inches of pipe

Hehe 11-25-2014 08:01 PM

Any dry cleaner that's reasonably priced and good?

Wife arrived back to Van all frozen but the winter coats were a bit smelly due to the storage in box.

Ideally around Burnaby/New West area.

Thanks!

Just thinking out loud here...

You could always call around to muffler shops, and see how much they would charge you for some 3" piping. Some of the more performance orientated shops will have the stainless steel piping (if you're after the polished look), not to mention be able to mandrel bend it.

Where can I buy just a simple box of matches? I went around to so many gas stations and 7/11's... nobody carries matches anymore.. I keep getting offered lighters but I need matches! Even went to Mac's and they don't have it.

Dollarama and grocery stores should have them...

Safeway!

If you're near broadway/commercial, they used to have boxes of matches in the toilet paper aisle above the Briquettes/Charcoal -- is it weird how I know that?

jinxcrusader 11-26-2014 04:05 PM

@invisiblesoul I work near a dollarama and couldn't find any matches, just lighters.
@dhillon09 That's really specific, thanks!

Figured I would go to TSS since they seem to do a lot of exhaust work. They had a spare intake pipe laying around and they let it go for cheap. Plus they are willing to cut it for me as well if needed. I can't praise these guys enough, they are super friendly and more than willing to help.

You can also try Canadian Tire in the camping section.

If you're at the Keg Burnaby for a meal, you can pick up a small box of matches at the bar. It was there as of a few months ago (my last visit), and every visit before that. I pick up a box for the house every time.

Vibrant part number 2175. 3" aluminum intake tubing, 45deg bend. Simply cut to fit using hacksaw, bandsaw, large pipe cutter or whatever you like. Lordco warehouse or Mopac will have in stock.
